A Few Specific Balance Changes in 3.2.0

No breach?

Why don't you create a common divination card dropping in Zana maps/missions granting a random corrupted league stone?
Looks all good to me, i had a biscos this league but never used it... I have fun playing the game itself, you people who amass currency need to learn to have fun actually playing the game.. For instance i had a nice phys damage claw with 5 mods and exalted flat phys on it which made it way better, it had es and mana which rich players would think was a waste, but it helped my build and allowed me to do harder content... I could have farmed tons of exalts and made it "perfect" so to speak but what is the fun in that, instead of doin the best build and making the most currency why not challenge yourself, i have 2 accounts and been playing this awesome game since closed beta and never been rich.. Or killed shaper or even uber atziri, and thats fine, because its more fun to learn and make my own builds and do the content myself... I do trade a bit but not much, too time consuming and boring if you ask me.. Nice patch ggg, only people crying are the ones will have a harder time getting tons of currency, which is fine if thats how you wanna play, but geez get a grip... Its a game...!

While a handful of players are going to be disappointed that they can't make insane wealth anymore, everyone else will be on a much fairer playing field this league.

Hahah, that'll never be the case for the people that whined for these certain nerfs. That's because they resort to complaining instead of looking for alternatives/using the the resources themselves.

I didn't even sextant block this league.

Rip Biscos, I thought it was a rather novel idea to have a semi-chase unique people could aspire to get for MF. Kinda like how Shakos and War Travellers were in Diablo II, but maybe a bit more extreme. Would've agreed with a drop buff so that they'd be in the 8-10 ex range instead of 20, but yeah. Ded amulet.

These posts are never useful unless you post the # currency you made during a three month league.

Hint: if it's >300 ex the system is broken.

if u dont care about currency and want to just alc and go...do it..

all ppl are complaining about a disadvantage... but the game is about fun... u have put yourself in a disadvatage by thinking u have to make as much currency as other ppl...

That is so ridiculously disengenuous to suggest that you making 3x or more currency and items has no effect on the guy making 1/3rd what you make. The income of your sextant playstyle was making poetrade prices unaffordable and exploitive to everyone who wanted to play the full atlas. You can still run your prefered map, nothing about the sextant changes is stoping you from running a shaped atlas and being able to run a single map over and over, it just means you dont get to have 3x or more times the spending power in the economy.

Exactly, all the sextant abusers are saying the same thing "how does my 8 kajillion exalted hurt you, git gud noob". It makes the game suck for everyone when items are insanely priced b/c people just expect you to be making 4ex an hour, thats awesome if you guys poop exalted, happy for you, but the prices shouldnt be based on monopoly money.

Im not some scrub in 1c gear, I have nice things, my characters gear is public so not going to debate all that nonsense but at the same time I have a job and 4 kids in rl. Its nice to be able to play in my free time and be able to afford things I want with a reasonable investment of time and effort. That is becoming harder and harder with this absurd inflation based on the 1%'s rs income.

u talk like the price of items are doubled... i can remember many leagues ago a 6l unique chest was 5-7 ex... depends which... and this season?! quite the same... a volls devo was 18ex some leagues ago... we had no sextants at this point and the price was anyways huge... as a casual u wasnt be able to get this i would say... same as this league... nothing has be changed... the prices went up maybe 25-30%...
and u all talk like everthings costs 324 times as normal...

if u have a job...like everyone i think... and 4 kids and not that bunch of a time... its maybe not the game for u... idk
At least this stuff makes sense, Bestiary on the other hand...

Also the way the atlas is setup and the disparity among maps mainly based off card drops is more of a problem than sextant blocking. With the Elder orb I'm sure there will be lucrative sextant usage going forward, it might even increase the cost per map making it less accessible to everyone. While the initial cost of sextant blocking and even Zana 8 drove a lot of people away its not like you cant still put crazy sextants on a Vault and farm with ridiculous multipliers in 3.2 so whats changed.
Buy the ticket, take the ride.

All of the casuals celebrating in this thread will be back to hating people that put real time into the game 1 month from now. But you know, keep basing the fun you are having on other people's game play choices.

Ok, so new (cough) player.

Having just witnessed the wealth / items that Abyss players bring back to STD whelp... there was obviously major balancing points.

Personally witnessed:

Players posting 288 ex / 600+ chaos orbs from a three month league. Some were posting 1k+, no idea if that was genuine though.

Yeah, you can see the disparity between the types of players here. 288 ex is apparently a lot over 3 months.

I can see why there are such differing views on what the ideal changes should be now.

EDIT:

I'm glad you replied.

What if I told you I made 580 ex + 3 Mirrors and my first league was Harbinger where I made slightly less over the 4 months? People just aren't applying themselves. Like I said. I did 0 Sextant blocking this league.

That's not to say, Sextants didn't need a change of some kind. They were definitely over-centralising. Don't know if these changes are ideal though. People need options.

ppl are crying here about zana 8 and sextants are just very casual gamers... if u rly want to play the game and do something, you need time... ppl are crying to get zana to 8 in 3 mounths while other ppl do this in 1 week and less... and with currency u do it in half a day...

theese ppl that are happy abaout the changes are ppl that come online... play for 1 hour... go offline... and cry after 1 week of "gameplay" why they havent finished their build yet...

thats the truth i would say...

games like theese will always need a heavy investment of time... but ppl dont understand that... they want everything immediately... they dont see how many time other ppl invest... they only see what they have (currency) and start crying...

thats my opinion...

Well, your opinion is wrong then. It was my first league and I played a lot. Like... a LOT. I ended with about 400-700 exalted worth of stuff I'd say, so im not a complete scrub either.

And I absolutely love these changes. I hate hate HATE the sextant blocking shit. I didnt do it. Sure, I tried it, found out it was bonkersly broken and then never did it again, because it sucks. Its cheating and it feels dirty and unsatisfying. I hated running the same map over and over again even more. I grew tired of racecourses after about 5 times in a row. RACECOURSE for gods sakes. I had to relax with a good old torture chamber afterwards and since then the torture chamber and I are friends <3 I forgave it for sucking so hard, because at least its not yet another racecourse. And yes, I still love you racecourse, and I always will, you know that!

I hated the feeling of being inefficient. I didnt like being constantly called a noob and loser and lazy because I refused to cheat with sextants. And despite all this, I kinda still really liked sextants. Which was weird, because everybody hated me ;-) But I do like them. I like the sucky mods and I like the nice ones. I hate the one that makes your flasks recover your mana and life instantly because it kills Divination Distillate and I love the one that gives you (and monsters I suppose) 20% increased movement speed. I like randomly putting a few sextants around a map every 20-30 maps or so. Just for the experience of it being different, and sure, because sometimes its cool to drop craploads of stuff. But only if you also remember what its like to NOT drop craploads of stuff, because otherwise that's just normal and normal sucks...

I was gonna try starting with Oni-goroshi, now the idea is stucked in an awkward position.
