Chieftain needs the same "on hit against rare/unique" charge/mechanic generation that other classes get for it's passive endurance charge generation to be good I think.

having nodes useless in boss fights is just bad design, and I think you guys figured that out as well in the changes to classes like raider etc...

My original post wasn't that informative. So the reason why Chieftain looked extremely appearing before was because you gave up free pen with more multipliers since some unknown reason you have decided to make Chieftain from a great option class again into why would you bother class?

Because this amulet below exists in the game why would anyone pick chieftain for pure fire dmg build



Now that you gave this class any reason to pick these two skill points (4 ascendancy points)

Hinekora, death's Fury and Ngamahu's Flame Advance = -12ex

Xoph's Blood
Amber Amulet

+(20-30) to Strength
10% increased maximum Life
+(20-40)% to Fire Resistance
10% increased Strength
Damage Penetrates 10% Fire Resistance
Cover Enemies in Ash when they Hit you

What good is 1% fire leech and 2% life regen if we deal sub par damage.
so now we gain a for 10 seconds 70% bonus dmg for 3 seconds? You may aswell made it 7 seconds for 3 seconds.

wow I think I'd rather spend 10-12ex for full conversion and have a permanent onslaught, more multiply per frenzy charge, immunity to aliments as well as phasing.

One of two players here reporting in, there actually is almost no buff for RF totems! cover in ash = hard to utilize as you will not be hitting very much, only other thing is like endurance charge fire damage but thats also pretty low so yeah they don't even really get a buff.

And even more so,
RF totems have long since migrated to Hierophant, where you can have a satisfactory totem count while applying EE with self cast and using dual dyadus cleave to TRIPLE your damage when you need it. (non damaging hits ie ancestral bond cannot chill still for some reason)

Secondly immunity to fire damage is mostly obsolete after totem got the 45% life nerf and 45% damage reduction instead. They used to burn out in 4 seconds at cap resist, now with 45% damage redux they last an acceptable amount of time. Damage still dumpster after the 45% life nerf

Still same damage after savage hit as with double rage? So why would I want to take double degen?

So chief RF totem build will be bad idea? I'm causal player (hour or two evening), jumped back into PoE after years, abyss league with RF totem chief. From what I see on forums, is it gonna be that bad, even with ascendancy nod just for RF totem (fire immune). Newbie trap then (if so, worked well on me :))

Got my char to 90, which took some time, don't want to abandon him in 3.2...
