Labytrinth dislike has most assuredly been the number one topic on these forums since lab release. With his kind of irrational thinking the forum is completely useless since you're never going to get more than 1% or 2% of the player base to say something should be fixed on the forum. Just the one GGG thread Changes to the Labyrinth alone proves how bogus his argument is, where probably close to 200 people created a tidal wave of lab disgust over GGG's request for a response. GGG reacted immediately and positively to that tidal wave by them doubling their own proposed changes to the labyrinth. Over 430 threads discussing labyrinth problems with over 1040 posters in support (thread # 1702621) Thank you all! GGG will implement a different method for ascension in PoE2. Retired!

" Thats the point though! They did already improve the lab and its a joke now. Not even worth mentioning. And you guys still cant let go. What else do want them to do? Remove lab? Or add waypoints and portals, which is just another way of removing the entire thing. Get over it. Lab is already a joke. You cant possibly expect more. |

" PoE used to be my favorite game of all time. The version prior to the release of labyrinth is still my favorite game of all time. The current PoE with the loathsome labyrinth is not nearly as much fun as my favorite game of all time. It is only very slightly better than Diablo 3. I can expect PoE to be at least as good as it used to be. That seems reasonable to me even if that is not reasonable from your perspective. Lab being a joke or not is an irrelevant tangent that you've gone down. What is important is that the game be as good as it can be meaning fun. It can be at least as much fun as it used to be prior to release of labyrinth. There are many ways that GGG could fix lab. Literally everything else in the game these should be more "loathsome" to you than the lab. Because that "everything else" killed your beloved PoE 1.x and its not coming back, no matter how much you want it. The lab is kinda weird in this day and age, because its pretty much the only content, where raw deeps dont matter as much. You do realize, that GGG will (most likely) be catering towards the demographic thats contributing the most money. That´ll be the guys that joined PoE post 2.x There has never been a more significant influx of players before. These guys dont even know PoE 1.x and they dont care - why would they?. What Im trying to do here, is to wake you up. You are dreamer, lost in your precious memories and unwilling to move on - which could be adapting or quitting. I bet you people spent more times in the forums whining about lab than it takes to run all 4 labs on one character, which is about an hour.
How can you be so furious about such a small part of the game, it's beyond me. You spend like 200 hours on a character but think you "CANNOT PLAY THE GAME ANYMORE" because ONE of these hours is spent doing something you don't enjoy. Wow. I swear, on my way to work there is this one wallpaper that I see at least half a second ... I am going to start a riot spending hours trying to take this wallpaper down, because I dont like it. Other people like it, but I dont like it and I heard other people not liking it, so how can they do that? RIOT! Before I loved my work, but now I dont even go to work anymore, because of this wallpaper that I see for half a second. It's terrible. Horrible. FUCK THE WALLPAPER " Yeah, they made the best ARPG in the world while you are sitting on your ass, shitposting in the forums and judging someone elses balance work while you have not done any balancing yourself ever. " Neah, GGG shouldn't get a pass at not improving their content and just "dumb it down" because they can't even make "Labyrinth" have an identity (just like with the single target namelocking melee skills versus AoE/projectile "melee" fiasco, or the whole melee versus ranged/cast playstyles fiasco etc.). I even think that in their stride to make "Labyrinth" more "accessible" (see the Normal/Cruel "improvements"), they chose the worst path. And "Uber Labyrinth" would actually be the epic alternative to the mapping system if it would only have an area level of 80 instead of 75 (with all the subsequent balance adjustments, of course), a way to resume progress for the same run - so instead of 1 try, you should get at most 3, with waypoints before each Aspirant's Trial, and a GUARANTEED Darkshrine/master switch that disables the traps for the current run, in an additional area at the start of the run, always protected by an Uber Argus multi modded corrupted essence difficulty level foe. Such a fight would be time consuming and actually dangerous up to the point that players would severely increase their run time by attempting that fight (adding a few minutes of fight with phases would make the guaranteed reward worth it, presuming you survive the encounter), heck, there could even be a distinction between the last Aspirant trial Izaro traps that would require an additional/alternate Darkshrine, and that specific Darkshrine/master switch... There, an area "worthy" to be run without paying attention to mapping. And if the runs for gaining the Ascendancy points would have a randomised layout, instead of the "daily" one, that experience would be "EPIC". If they would just allow all Ascendancy points to be obtained at once for succeeding the "Uber Labyrinth" run, that would be a very, very nice incentive to start focusing on said alternate "end game" content... PSS: Our almighty TencentGGG overlords are very scrupulous regarding criticizing their abilities to take proper decisions and consider everything "needlessly harsh and condescending"...
