Yeah -- 1% of 13000 viewers should get a hat every 5 minutes. That's 130 per minute or over 1500 per hour. Assuming all 13000 are there for hats ;)

I was most of the time AFK & muted, low-res,put the stream tab in background and forgot about it.
People dont need to watch the streams actively or type anything.
Only thing that matters is that your Twitch account name is in the viewerlist of the streamer, the same name which is linked to PoE.

Actually according to the probabilities only a few people that watched 48h should not get it.

In every 10.000 that watches 48h, the expected number of people that wouldn't get it is only 32.

Based on the number of people complaining that they didn't get it in 40+ hours I think either GGG didn't give us the right chance or there is something wrong with the system (maybe twitch's fault?).

Well if I have to leave the pc open 24h (because I would need to watch twitch for a lot of days if I don't, seeing that I am not staying home much) until the even't end, all this power may cost me the same as a bought mtx. Not to mention having to penalize my bandwidth (which only costs me some inconvenience but still)...

What I meant though is getting screwed by RNG - not GGG, don't get defensive. I don't find the event bad, besides it's promoting a great game. But it would be better if the drops were guaranteed after a number of hours.
