Harbinger Statistics - Popular Passives and Ascendancies

Still in the alpha stage, but at least build diversity isn't an issue: https://wolcengame.com/home/
Nerf berserker ;) or skills, it's bound to happen...

Do they care about "supporter"? No because if you leave new will come
BUFF JUGGS.

If you are going to face a real challenge, it has to be a real challenge. You can't accomplish anything without the possibility of failure.
GGG Would be nice to see Ascendant breakdown > which ascendant combination is taken. My guess is Assassin+x or Raider+x.

We hope you found them as enlightening as we did.

It shouldn't have been enlightening. Everyone on reddit knew exactly what the meta would be the day the nerfs were announced. Y'all should've too. It was immensely clear that diversity was getting killed off in the name of "balance" at the top end.

Unfortunately, we also know what's gonna happen next patch: Berserker nerf. Maybe another Necromancer nerf too. The game becomes less fun to play with fewer choices over time, with every build moving toward a basic archetype that can't be altered, so why not go all-in and nerf literally every good thing to the point of no longer being usable? If everything's equally bad and unfun then everything's good and fun!

Don't let the influx of new players cloud your eyes. It's marketing bullshit. New players on a free game mean nothing if they don't stick around. Look at player retainment. Your spreadsheet warriors on the balance team are determined to ruin the game. It's up to y'all to stop them.

I spent about 30ex making an ES build on Harbinger.
"
CI + Darkpact (no self damage) + Lightning Warp movement speed + Wither totem.
9k ES with the Occultist recharge stuff. Skyforths so I could take the explosions.

I spent as much as possible on ES to try and make it work...
...2 void batteries, 600ES chest 6-link with resists, etc...

It can't do things like Shaper or Guardians in a consistent way compared to my Champion melee. The champion recieved 1/3 of the gear investment.

What's the difference?

Vaal Pact

It needs a nerf, and other things need a buff.
Layered defenses are too weak as others are pointing out. ES can't access those defenses though. The ES values can be increased across the board. Having 12k ES is comparable to 7k life + leech. That's because life builds have easy access to armor, evasion, dodge, and block.

Many of the ES nodes don't support the playstyle enough. Zealot's oath isn't usable because it doesn't provide enough regen. An ES build can't stretch for regen w/o being a Templar.

Add to the cake on all of this...

Lightning warp is a 4-linked caster skill that still doesn't give me enough maneuverability to allow optimal positioning and responsiveness on Boss fights. I can't use my reflexes and so the toon feels really bad man. You need to help casters with movement in a meaningful way. Or else they are gonna keep stacking stupid shield charge.

The game should be faster not slower. Don't go the other direction and nerf shield charge and whirling blades. They're not a problem. It's the fact that you can't dodge attacks because you can't move on a caster.

Builds that abused CI + Vaal Pact weren't even casters and yet this round nerfed casters AGAIN.
The only thing that makes a caster work is a spell totem or being da' zerk.

Cheers!

The game is being ruined for large chunk of the player base. More and more people are quitting.

Quitting? but POE is larger than ever? Let me point out that one of the communities biggest most public nerf-tear-eyed personalities is Bakedchiken and he's still playing last I heard. Despite wetting himself in public multiple times during beta and now being the butt of "POE has no skill" jokes. I mean if anyone had motivation to rage quit it's that guy. Brokenly OP things in the game that allow someone to push the narrative that there's no skill in POE; are an excellent example of why nerfs are so necessary. You think the guys that make animations and design boss mechanics want to hear someone belittling their work because he can follow paint by numbers builds? I'm going to guess that answer is no.

Anyway protest all you want, claim you're going to quit playing all you want: even pretend people you know are quiting. This is an age old MMO/Online game song and dance, seen it in every single multiplayer game I've ever played. No one cares, yes SOME people leave every time there are major changes, but some people also leave when the game gets stale. You lose players because there's no reason to try new things when VP makes all the design and mechanical work on the game moot by circumventing it. VP also pushes GGG to make the game more one shot centered because nothing short of a one shot can threaten a character that heals instantly for more than their health pool 10 times a second.

3.0 was full of nerfs, yet the games never been more popular. *shrug*

By Diversity you ofc really mean "Diversity of builds that can facetank all content and don't need to observe boss mechanics or take even the slightest skill to play".

There's not enough movement speed for people to skilfully dodge things as a caster. You have two options:
1. Use a melee travel skill.
2. Offscreen the boss.
