" Piety is a lover, not a fighter. Garukhan is a god, she doesn't need armor. If the game had sexy knights walking around I wouldn't object. It's up to GGG if they want to add those elements in at some later date but it currently doesn't fit the overall style of the game, it just doesn't sell itself that way... yet. Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs. ◄[www.moddb.com/mods/balancedux]► ◄[www.moddb.com/mods/one-vision1]► Last edited by raics#7540 on Sep 3, 2017, 4:27:41 AM

" Love this post.. im sure you misunderstood what i meant by there is no strict theme and went on to prove me point entirely.. thank you! When a game is explore multiple themes and not rigidly sticking to one then you could say "there isnt a theme" and that is why GGG can create whatever armour it chooses.. but female armour exists in any theme so for those to say "it does not fit" are clearly trolling. They could be sexist i suppose.. and to the people who like things the way they are? this is a suggestion/feedback thread and is designed to help develop the game - sorry guys and girls but things will not remain as they are and to do so would be certain death of a game. |

" I know what you meant but I'm just not getting a vibe that the game tries to appeal to players by idolizing the female figure so I assumed you meant the other kind of theme. Gore? Sure, it does use gore in copious amounts. But rampant sex appeal? Nope. Any amount that it has strikes me as mostly incidental, it's far from a highlighted feature. Will the game go under if it doesn't do it eventually? I don't think so, there are plenty of butch games around that still do good business. If anything, I think the whole thing with combat corsets is getting a bit stale. Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

TBH I would like something a little more frilly.
I like armor well enough, but I would like to see more cloth. Esp now that we have physics for that. Like robes. I would kill for a dress thou. |

" See, Kurasamii? People like things prim, proper and buttoned to the neck, even the boots are extra high. Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

" Do you know of any game overly sexualizing male fighters? Looking for a friend. |

" haha totally get your point but no one here is talking about sex appeal - only fitting armour that shows your playing a female.. there is a lack of options which is the main point and ive never once said id like to see anything skimpy. I want the armour to still feel like it belongs in the game but i want to be able to appreciate the model underneath.. i dont want my female character looking like a man unless i choose to make it so. You mite be tired of Corsets and more feminine armour but there is no real point to not having it? im sure we can agree that there are just as many people who would appreciate having the selection and i certainly do believe that "looking good" is a large part of this genre. Even if GGG had all the same armour it has now and just made some of it smaller so it fits the frame of the females model better that would be a solid start, but it doesnt. think about all the micro themes the game employes they do it all well for the males but leave the female side looking like crap - steam punk is quirky but if you ever see female steam punk characters they are attractive and imo you cant say your adopting anything steam punk while denying that part of it.. I imagine the DEVs and a large part of the player base is male and tbh dont care but having a butch game is limiting - this game will die if it cant grow its player base and if your being honest, having better looking characters aesthetically, male or female, would only help in that regard. Obviously there is no denying its a solid game but it does have a lot of shortfalls when it comes to the reused maps, bad base armour and revolving around micro transactions, complex game mechanics (for those not familiar with the genre) - these are just a few but already enough to make it not very user friendly. if you are a new player in this game like myself you see a lot more obstacles.. thankfully the community is good and helped me a lot. This games also competing with more polished games like D3 - yes i know blasphemy - which have a lot more money behind it and can do the exact same thing as POE but better.. my point here is there is a standard in place and POE need to keep moving towards it. Id love to see D3 graphics in POE, free transmutations? new maps XD and armour that looks like its intended for the class.. witch docter looks like a witch doctor, necromancer looks like .... a necro XD. If D3 can match aesthetics im sure POE someday can do the same. |

" that's sexist as fuck, if you want XXX in your games go play a hentai or something. It's very good that games like PoE and Darksouls series have no sexist gear, armour is made to protect the body not to show off the female curves for your [Removed by Support] pleasure, bro =/ Buff life on the right side of the tree! Just a little! Pretty Please! Last edited by Al_GGG#0000 on Sep 3, 2017, 11:37:32 AM

Please, no.
One of the best things about this game is that it has realistic female characters, that don't look like bikini models in a world where everyone is struggling to survive and they're busy blowing up cannibals and zombies/crafting stuff/caring for the wounded. Yes, I like to look at pretty women, and the ones in the game are pretty in a perfectly normal way, and dressed reasonably for what they do. Mage armour is light and looks like normal clothing, but a Scion with a strength-oriented build with heavy armour that doesn't cover the whole body would look utterly retarded. All three of the playable female classes just look normal and believable. Just leave it be. If you want games with scantily-clad female characters, there's tons and tons of them, many with more detailed AAA graphics. The gritty atmosphere, no idealisation and very well-designed female characters is what makes PoE special. |
