Female armour!!!
" The caveat is it has to fit the overall tone of the game. Tekken series can get pretty wacky so you can offer people a beach skin where a character wears an inflatable duck float, but you wouldn't see a killer clown skin in call of duty. PoE has some steampunky elements so those tech armors are fine, some enemies even wear them ingame so it's canon. By the way, that's a cavalier hat (which predates tricorne), not a cowboy hat. Anyway, as I said before, besides of it being less favorable on the business side of things, there are technical issues too. A set of armor with cleavage would be ok on Scion because her model has that space open by default but Witch has it covered. Well, we probably shouldn't go into whether a sexy armor on a Witch might border on pedophilia or not. What's wrong with the way this looks? " I'm STILL waiting on 3D art for the Infernal Mantle. GGG had the time to nerf it, (the penalty still exists, so no, that's not a buff) but not time to consider adding it to the list of items to get 3D art? They should make up for it by including a built-in celestial cloak with its 3D art. :V Rufalius, hybrid Aura/Arc/Mana Guardian | Hemorae, TS Raider | Wuru, Ele Hit Wand Trickster

" you do realise that to keep this game going it needs to adapt.. having gender based armour or armour made to fit the models of the characters they made is the least we could ask for.. Now i understand its more work but there armour is lacking in variety.. a lot of the base models are the same with very minor changes and most are masculine.. they even reuse a lot of the same maps and as the game gets bigger/develops some of these issue should be rectified along the way. I think the games great and they have done a great job so far but for the longevity of the game, some of these "minor" things needs to change.. or do we celebrate laziness now? If they can make armour fit Sion why not the Witch or the Ranger? doesn't make sense.. Yes the witch has a smaller bust but then maybe they should change that, id even be happy with Witch like armour.. give me that hallow broom hat and robe XD - Id rather that than some of the clunky garments/armour im forced to wear because it fits my build.. However if that really is to much work make the gear you Identify save its Armour style (Aesthetics) so that you can freely change the look of the gear. Example of this would be DC Universe Online system.. which allows for amazing customisation. Can you honestly tell me youd complain if there was such a function? doubtful. |

I'm not sure what you are complaining about. Armor that can adapt to form already does so, and anything else doesn't make sense and doesn't fit the game. A differently styled plate armor that "fits a female form" is not the same plate armor and would thus need different stats. You can't make plate armor that protects well and still has a toned ass and boobs, that's simply impossible. Same with high heels. Would require a -20% movement speed modifier.
Now you could argue that it's a fantasy game and that you'd prefer unrealistic shaped armor over realistic unisex armor, and that's a valid argument. But personally, I like what we have now better than what you suggest, and I would probably stop playing female chars if they implemented your wishes. " Those two have nothing on their upper chest and witch wears some potato sack... smock... something. I already explained it, their homemade engine is the problem. Models in, say, Street Fighter V are easy to skin because the system was made that way from the start and GGG kinda iterated on what they had. The rework that would allow for greater freedom would take a lot of resources, it's a matter of being careful with their funds and investing in features that bring the highest player retention, not laziness. Now you tell me why would they spend so much on skimpy outfits? Everyone has that, if the game can't hold players in as it is, girly armor won't do it either. Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

" I call bullshit on the, there is no male female armour. Poe may have a steam punk esk style to it but id hardly call it realistic.. as i pointed out earlier the moment you have demons/monsters etc in a game you can through out that realistic bullshit XD Its a game and a fantasy one at that... anything goes and asking for some more choices in female armour or a better method to change your armour style shouldn't be reaching for the starts. But i understand people dont want to over sexualize the game and thats not what im after but in what world does a witch wear plate armour? or a ranger? so id really wish people would stop ranting over the same point. Armour was always fitted even if it was plate.. plate armour (especially wealthy owners) had fitted armour for their size.. Leather armour certianly wasnt bulky and people wore as much or as little to suit their needs. Some of the armour in this game like Tabula (and a few others) look like basic Tshirts.. in what "realistic" world would that be effective as armour? people who are complaining seem to be fixating on very minor points and im guessing its because they lack the imagination to see what im really going for. Fabric armour - cloth/leather/silk etc should be more amenable - they should be more fitted when used in game. (regardless of male or females using it) After all that would make it more realistic rite? Plate armour - can be its bulky mess but should still have a frame that corresponds to a female or male model. Chain mail - being a very loose/unstructured armour can look like a baggy potato sack. If we are going to harp on some more about whether female armour should exist or not id like to point out a few roles which in every comic/game/history book/fiction or fantasy novel all have very similar styles for are the very typical Witch/Thief/Ranger/Assassin/Fencer/Duellist (im sure this list continues) None of which really wore heavy armour at all.. In fact i think about half if not more than half of the classes in this game would "realistically" be using light/flexible armour that would usually be tight enough on the body as to not hinder their movement. Please stop picking things in this game and ignoring the other facts - everyone is entitled to their opinion and im sure if GGG offored more customisation options no one would complain. After all its about progression isnt it? |

" Refer to my previous comments no one cares for skimpy - I dont need a bikini just more thematically correct gear that fits the model and yes GGG should be thinking about these things and investing in improving the game. AS interesting as it is, It falls short on things that are a standard part of genre and that is being done by its competitors, please remember just because we like it doesnt mean it cant do with improvements. Or do you feel the games perfect and everyone will love it - I am sure there are a number of other Priorities to address before this but as they are making new armour all the time for micro transactions im sure they can spare some resources to make some of the armour more appealing/thematically correct. |

" Aye, if you have demons in the game suddenly anything goes, everyone's flying because gravity has taken a day off and you can break down castle gates with a ram made of boiled noodles because why not. The best of fantasy settings are those that provide the most plausible explanations, otherwise nobody would bother explaining why only Jedi and a few rare individuals can use lightsabers effectively. Well, maybe you don't understand just how clunky their engine can be. You like that new water effect in 3.0? Sure, looks really good but the main reason they did it was because creating water tiles previously took ages even though it looks simple enough. Anyway, I hope you now at least understand what you're asking for and why it might not happen, not sure how many players would support devs wasting time on latex and frills as long as there are more glaring issues around. You can, of course, continue asking but it should spare you the worst of the disappointment. On the subject of realism, I consider glowing angel wings, pulsing butterfly swarms and tree branches growing from your back way more fanciful than some feminine armor. The concept of sleek, curved, revealing armor doesn't stretch the boundaries of realism nearly so much as half the crap in the shop. Skimpy, tight, figure-hugging, revealing armor has been proven to be immensely popular in all video game genres. If GGG likes money, they would be wise to capitalize on this. I certainly wouldn't say no to some cool feminine or even sexy armors for my female chars. In my experience, having only bulky, masculine armor design limits the roleplaying potential of my characters- since that is something I find myself doing often. I'm Left of Right and far Right of Left. |
