[3.x - Discontinued for now] Burning Spectres - Torch the Atlas - HC Shaper, Elder, Uber Atziri

Hi guys. Is this build still good at 3.3? Is it worth it to try to collect it or will I not be able to close all the content?

About a hundred pages back or so, they answer that exact question. Make sure you look for the post quoting a guy with exactly 19 challenges completed, I can't remember his name. He did a full mathematical calculation showing how good/bad this build will be in 3.3

Guys, in the gem-links, it is mentioned to use separate 1L for desecrate, bone offering, convocation and flesh offering and it has also suggested to use CWDT (max) + desecrate + bone offering. Which of these is better?

I plan to use this build to speed clear maps primarily and complete atlas. (Summoner for speed clear? Really?) - I felt the zoom-zoom shield charge while solar guards rip everything apart kind of playstyle very likeable. So, for a map clearing scenario, is Convocation really necessary? Would it better for me to run something like a cwdt + desecrate?

If you want to speed clear, don't use shield charge. It's actually pretty slow and tends to get snagged on terrain features. Try phase run + increased duration + quicksilver flask of adrenaline. You'll be able to keep up with wanders and deadeyes with this combo.

You won't need convo, as the specs will teleport to you after a certain distance. However, you could try minion speed on both rings if you want them to run with you.

Let me tell you this: both before the changes to TVs in 3.1 and after those changes, the presence of a Dyadus AG should've not been even remotely noticeable unless you were fighting a 'Unique boss has % more HP' Minotaur or Phoenix. I intentionally left out Chimera or Hydra, or any end-game bosses. Because well, you see, with correct curses, with correct itemization and with correct gems, bosses like Uber Izaro, Uber Atziri, Shaper, Chimera or Hydra would jump to their immunity phases way before an AG (if present) could've realistically reach them anyway.

Also, for AG to be useful on harder bosses IF you are so insistent on having some T16 Abyssal Lich transition to his 'Stygian Spyre' phase in 1 second instead of 2, you kinda have to give him a proper 4-link, most likely in the helmet for +2 to minion skills. Unless you do it, you have to take a shitton of otherwise useless regen/life/resist nodes on the tree for AG to be able to survive the usual stuff that's going on on those bosses. So, there goes any possibility of having the shaper helm for a pseudo-6link. Again, I'll be surprised to see anyone successfully use an AG socketed in something other than helm while also not having the useless nodes like minion life near Lord of the Dead and Gravepact, life&regen near Death Attunement, Puppet Master or Herd the Flock (I hope most people have realized by now that those two are completely irrelevant for spectres themselves). Even with a full-beef setup like 21 AG + 21 Minion life + 4 Emp + 21 Fortify, that won't be enough for him to survive any situations, there WOULD be a constant need to watch him and possibly unsummon him.

All while there are much, much better options for both clearspeed and bossing. I didn't run this build in this league, though; however, from what I see, nothing really changed much in that regard.

Bottom line - AG is a good thing to have for a clearspeed-oriented build, mostly because his duty is to give auras; he shouldn't and he wouldn't be able to even touch any packs - setups with Melee Splash look especially absurd to me (I mean, if your clearspeed is so shitty that your AG actually has the time to reach some pack and splash-hit it, you should be searching for possible issues anywhere but in AG). And on harder bosses, ever since Harbinger all I'm seeing is 'I usually unsummon him on *boss X*', and stuff like that.

So no, the idea that 'this build got nerfed by the dyadus nerf' is complete and utter fake news that have nothing to do with reality. This build never relied on AG, and AG was even more of a slight luxury (that also comes with inconveniences) than getting a +1 corrupt on Bones of Ullr.



So what would you consider swaping AG for in this build setup? I understand your point about AG not being that good against end game bosses and i'm in no conditions to contest this, because my knowledge on the build is very poor. However, i'm playing this build now on Incursion league (lvl 77), and i pretty much came to the point that Zombies are useless. Which is why i was thinking on subing them for AG, mainly for a bit of extra map boss damage. Since its early league and im justing clearing with SGs, i thought that the combustion thing might help a bit with the map bosses (+ victarios flight like you mentioned). If you still think i shouldn't run AG, what other setups could i be using? Again, my 4L zombies rn are pretty much useless so i kinda have a 4L free for something. If you do recommend the AG tho, could you give a few tips on his gear, especially for the weapon, the build guide author seemed kinda vague for my knowledge when he said "get something with utility". Bone offering has been suggested to be used both manual-cast as well as CWDT. CWDT seems to make more sense because 99% of the time, we would be spamming flesh offering. Just incase you do use manual-cast, in what kind of scenarios do you use bone offering instead of flesh?

That means you just need to work on life, and possibly your life / mana balance for MoM. Quick calcs:
4241 / 70 x 30 = 1818, so your current ratio is damn near spot on. I like to have a bit of mana left over to I can still use Whirling Blades or Shield Charge to flee.

So, my advice would be:
- Drop your current helm. Something with similar stats for life / armour / es can be picked up for a couple chaos, and you'll get some resistances as well. And very likely some extra life as well. That will allow you to
- Drop the resist nodes / jewel socket next to Sentinel. Put those 6 points into the Scion life wheel next to Path of the Warrior and Quick Recovery.
- If your resists are still not capped, consider swapping Pupper Master for Commander of Darkness. If you have some spare currency, consider picking up a better belt with life, resists, and I like a big armour roll. Look to upgrade your rings / gloves as well, looking for life, mana, resists, and an open slot on the gloves for Catarina's Minions deal increased damage craft.

At that point you should be able to drop to a single healing flask, a speed flask (I'd drop the unique for a regular one, it holds the same number of charges but uses less, so you can have it active more often), A rumi's (or 2 - I often carry 2 so I can maintain it during boss fights), and something that boosts your defenses some more. I usually carry a jade flask with armour boost, and I'll swap to a fire flask for Atziri or whatever is appropriate.

Oh, and Quality your gear. It's a cheap upgrade, and makes more difference that you would think.


Hey just bumping this - I was asking what you'd recommend for a helm, since I was just going by what I thought the guide suggested was optimal?

And its actually a perfect time to optimize my endgame passives! I have a full reset due to the league change. Does anyone have a pastebin/character with minmaxed endgame passives?

There were two monster types in particular in the Temple that have been wrecking me all the way to where I am now at L60-ish. One of them is a hunched monster that runs up to near your character, then throws what looks like 3 or 4 little purple blobs - then BLAM! Half your life is gone. The other is a smaller version of the huge giant shiny helmet wearing sword soldiers that move slow - only these guys move quick and every swing of the sword at you takes 25% of your health almost. I have absolutely no idea what they were, but nothing in the game is touching me at the moment, including act bosses - but these bastards are punching my shit in.
