Why is there no auction house?

Personally I'd like a middleground whereby you still use POE.trade, but people can visit you H/O, look at your 'shop' stash tab and buy things directly from it.
That way there is no AH, but there is also a slightly easier way to trade. I know that I'm against popular opinion on this one though. | |

Make a AH GGG or at least do it as they did on cabal where people can open there own shop in town or HO with there characters...

easy trading does not go well with crafting.
When D3 came out the easy auction house ruined it. you could always find a much better item then you had gotten in drops for practically nothing on the AH, it was hugely unrewarding because almost no loot you ever got was worth using. It would be similar in this game, if there is an AH all the vendor trash from high levels easily sold would make lower levels loot unrewarding. |

I hate trading in PoE for multiple reasons:
- AFK - offline - DND - ignoring me - using macros to thank me (if you are too lazy to type, it means you don't respect the other person) - people going to wrong HO and requesting wrong person - buyers requesting me instead of waiting (I left a fucking map, I'm full) - people giving me wrong currency - traders inviting other people to my party - people not leaving my party - "where the hell is my stash" hideouts - GPU intense hideouts - high ping hideouts - having to tp out to trade and waste my map portals - can't trade while having a full party - can't trade items from different realm (1c trade, yeah I need to relog to standard bro) - scammers - people changing my ratio, giving me less than requested etc. - some people just can't English ;) - browser filled with poe.trade tabs ...and probably some more. " That isnt a problem at all. Sellers will set whatever currency they like. I bet, players will use just few sorts of popular currency - alts, chaos, exalts as "copper", "silver" and "gold" substitutes. IGN: MortalKombat
