Sound bug.
This happens only in PoE, not when watching moves, playing other games etc.
Basicly, everytime a sound is playing , like a spell, or a npc talks, its sounds horrible, its like soneone has taken my sound cable/cord-thingy, holds it, and has a seizure..Its this sparky buzzing electrical sounds, it sounds terrible.. Iv never had this problem earlier in PoE, my most recent playthrue was in Legacy League a while back, and when booting up poE today I noticed this new problem.. Please how cna I fix this? Im missing out on all the new cool sounds :( Last bumped on Dec 11, 2017, 9:26:36 AM

Same exact issue is happening for me. Sound is all distorted.

Same issue, including the occasional popping sound like I'm listening to a poorly ripped MP3. This only happens when playing the game. The loading screen and character selection screen are fine.
I restarted my PC and, obviously, the game client and so far the sound has been working. |

This is also happening to me. Random poping noises and whenever a voice is played, it sounds choppy and broken up.
Using High count channel in sound options and using a ASUS Xonar Essence STX sound card. |

Sorry, double post, it said the resource I was looking for was not found when I submitted the previous post.

I am having the exact same issues. Game is playable but the sound is a complete distorted mess.

Same issue.
The only thing i can add (hope it helps) is that it started when i read a book after i kill Brutus. So the book was playing, i go outside, screen loads and the sound totally broke. Before that moment game sound was very good. P.S.: i dont want to restart client, so i get into infinite queue. But the only way i can get rid of that broken sound is to set to 0 value of Settings -> Sound -> Sound Effect Volume. EDIT: no , that Sound Effect Volume doesnt fix problem. when i talk to npc its all back broken. Last edited by greenyadzer#5895 on Aug 4, 2017, 8:17:18 PM

I have the same issue. To make the matter a little stranger, my fiance and I have identical computers. Built at the same time, exact same parts, same drivers installed, but I have the bug and she doesn't. Her sound sounds perfect, but my pc won't play a 1 second sound effect without it chopping in and out. Hard to think a fix on my end will work when she didn't have to change any settings to get good sound.

i also have this problem

Seems restarting the client fixes it.
No longer have the issue after a client restart. |
