every release of a unique item, gear, gem or mechanic is a potential buff. there are periodic nerfs to existing stuff so people don't get bored killing shaper in under 30 seconds. if they don't nerf, skilled players leave sooner or later because there is no challenge anymore. "game ded" for those who can't really read cause they're flooded with tears. poe has ever been a game for those who seek a challenge, now change your trousers and deal with it. age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill! If you switch things around because of "muh meta" you can upset the system and everything turns to shit for a alot of people. Remember they are very heavy handed in their "balancing". Better to do incremental shifts. We do know they operate like this, and it's even been confirmed by some news posts. I dont agree with it.
