I am easily killing bosses on t11 racecourse, t12 ashen woods, t13 cemetery with full MF gear (bisco/sadima/perandus blazon and goldwyrm).

What I do is summon ~15 SRSs, activate boss, drop a vaal lightning trap on him and maybe a decoy totem. they die in 5-10 sec.

With dps gear - astramentis and grip of the council - bosses get deleted... If someone is actually struggling with complete build with baron they must be doing something wrong xD

I'm used to using a 3 link arc-curse on hit-ele weakness for my summoners, just for burning down bosses. I have always found ball lightning kind of slow and cumbersome. I see both you and uberelite recommend it with GMP and a 4th link. Are the balls fast enough to actually hit bosses? I used arc because I wanted to make sure I could always hit them, even in dodgy situations.

With GMP it's fairly smooth. Reason I prefer BL with GMP is for map situations such as Breaches or Beyond, I want the balls to fly far and hit as many as possible whilst Arc is limited in range & chaining.

I would also due to the Wicker Man spectres remove the whole EE / CoE Ball Lightning for spectres once the uber lab is done.
Though, that will always come down to a matter of taste. There are those that prefer to use Orb of torms instead due to comfortability.

First of all thank you for your guides and the time you take answering every single question.

I'm a bit confused about this recent suggestion to include spectres in the build and to get the Soul Weaver Ascendancy.

The skill tree and suggested gear is not optimized for spectres - we don't have all the damage nodes nor any of the minion life/regeneration nodes or nodes for additional spectres.

Does this mean even these very suboptimal spectres will contribute more damage to the build than triggering EE regularily to improve damage for SRS? If this really is the case, wouldn't it be better and more consequent to just focus on spectres in the first place because they are just better than SRS?

Hey. I presume I'm going to sound stupid as I'm very new to the game, but currently a friend and I are progressing through the acts for the first time. I'm up to act 9 and am level 64. I have gotten a lot of the recommended unique items you listed, however I do not have the baron yet but am saving up. I've just gotten my 6 link staff with +2 fire and blood magic. I'm struggling to stay healthy with 3.3k health, max resistances and 62 health regen. I'm relying very heavily on potions since making the change and I'm unsure if that's normal. What part of our build am I missing that compensates for the health expenditure? Thanks in advance.
Questions:

1. I was lucky enough to have a tabula rassa drop. Am I correct in thinking that this isn't really useful in this build? (note* i dont have a 6 slot 2H, but am using a +2helm)

2. Clarification: All the rage over the +2 2H seems odd to me that your dropping the +2minion gem from the Baron. So just getting +2 to all the red gems is actually better than using the +2 Baron for your SRS? i.e. - the +2 from all red gems is > +2 to minions?
hi all new player starting this build. going well so far. leveling at times seems quite slow but maybe thats just the pace of POE
Maybe a dumb question here. When you put blood magic on your staff it only affects gems in the staff. What about the other stuff you cast like offerings? (So you'll still need reduced mana reserved nodes for those in order to run hatred/haste right?)

Newer player here. Was wondering "+2 to level of socketed minion gems" only affects the gems in the helmet? If so, how does that help our SRS? What gems should I have in the helmet?

Yes for leveling you grab a level 2 socketed minion gems helmet, because SRS damage scales very good with levels. EDIT: personally I like using a Reverberation Rod for leveling, but it is up to you.(It's about a 10% increase for every level you get, so lategame with a +3 staff and empower 4 you get something like 110% * srs damage for every level. for your second point, +2 2h is for 6 links. +2 fire is exact same as +2 minion for srs, as they count as both a fire spell and a minion spell. So more links = better. 6 link much more damage than 4 link, and ability to use blood magic craft so you can run haste hatred. So lategame you go for +3 as well. You might think, oh thats dumb its only 1 extra level, but the +1 applies to all gems in staff. so with 21 srs, you get +3 from staff, +3 from empower 4, and then staff gives level to every gem so empower actually becomes empower 5 and you end with level 28 srs, which does just over double the base damage of a level 20 base srs, not counting links or anything else.
