Labyrinth makes me want to hurt someone

I'm trucking along like any other newb in Wraeclast. Cool game and all, mostly enjoyable, but please for the love of everything holy and unholy do something about the god damn labyrinth. If you are in a position like me where you live in a city with 3rd world tier internet (NYC represent) or, Malachai forbid, run this 2013 game on anything less than a Time-bending NASA-computer from 2023, you will probably end up in a position where you wish you could go on a rampage.

"Hmm, let's force EVERY player to run through a terribly designed gauntlet that isn't really very challenging, but that takes bloody forever to go through and is littered with an abundance of insanely frustrating and annoying mechanics. In fact, let's not make this about skill or finesse, but about having the willpower to pay close attention for at least 40 minutes, and fart your way through a series of mind-numbing rote exercises."

"But boy, this doesn't quite feel right. There's something missing. Oh I get it: Let's also make the areas sprawling and large so that our client is likely to struggle a bit, that'll spice it up. And then have them go through this THREE TIMES AND LIKE 300 TIMES MORE IF THEY WANT THE BEST GEAR. Also! Why don't we add a metric tonne of particle effects so that the client definitely will want to give up any second."

"Is it HARDCOOOOOREE :OOOO :OOO ##" (POE™) (skillcap™) (casualunfriendly™)!!!!! enough though? hmmmmmmmm. Maybe not quite, but I, guardian of HARDCOREGAMERS™™ know the perfect solution:

Please don't boot players from the instance upon DC/crash, or at least let us start again after last phase of Izario we have downed.

And please make it a little shorter. And cull some of the useless enchants. And please ease up a bit on the particle effects in Uberlab.

Running on a > 5 years old computer,bought an okay small Graphic Card last year : PoE works like a charm solo.
100~150 ping (another country, not even connected by land ), lab is pretty fine.

Your complaint might have been credible / relevant when ascendacy/prophecy was released though.



Normal lab is likely getting shortened for 3.0.0.

Why is it taking you 40 minutes? . Unless you plan to get all silver keys, half an hour is usually plenty of time depending on mechanics. Silver keys are not worth getting unless you're on merc or uber and even on merc, it's only if the keys are useful. Just take advantage of mechanics, skip Argus, and it should probably take you 20 minutes top. Even with mechanics, there's only a few that are actually deadly. By about level 75 as a conservative estimate, you should be able to do merc lab solo depending on the mechanics involved just based on having your cruel and normal ascendancies.

I was gonna say, 15-20min at most. 40min is almost within memery range

yesterday he had a glorious 5 key day with easy mods

it took me 13mins on average to get one silver key (main path), gold key+ argus and additional silver chest room with all mods active

granted i know what im doing (this content requires a bit of skill regardless of what some say) but even a mildly experienced player can do clean (no extras) run in under 15 minutes

with my 12:30 time i was no 450 in the ladder so it really isnt anything special

As someone who started playing like 3-4 months ago, let me tell you this: Get ready, there's more of this along the way.

The game has a lot of systems designed to punish instead of reward. I can get very frustrating. Just don't touch SSF like I did. It makes them a lot worse.

If something in a game really upsets you, you all know what to do right? Just shut up and keep it to yourself so people with the opposing view can claim you are a tiny minority. gotcha.

The fact that your biggest complaint is how long the lab takes, when there are players running it in a couple of minutes on a daily basis, and there are tons of us who regularly can run it in ~10-15 minutes just shows that the problem isn't with the lab. The problem is that there is a mechanic that you have to take the time and make the effort to learn in order to trivialize it, but you don't want to do that... so... babyrage.

Even though "not enough mature to post your opinion here." might seem a bit much, if the OP really wants to hurt someone because of his lab rage, it's anything but mature and that means that there is clearly a problem there.
