YOU MORONS CRYING FOR AUCTION HOUSE DIDNT SEE D3

The problem with a real AH with instant trading isn't the RMAH horror of D3, but the horror of NO ITEM is good enough to sell, and every item is inferior to the AH. When you have millions of players trying to sell low level stuff, it gets CHEAP. You end up picking up a statstick that can crush content for an alch orb. A statstick that you couldn't find if you farmed for 10 hours.

THAT is the horror of efficient trading. It becomes this place where playing the game is useless. Once I gave in and started trading and flipping (which is easier with instant trading btw) I gave up "playing" D3 hardcore. I went from making 100,000+ gold an hour with a good drop that sells for 1mil+ every week, to making 1mil an hour and occasionally finding that noob that lists a 30+mil item for a mil or two and flipping it every week. I went from struggling in act 2 inferno, to crushing A3 and selling shit unid for more money than it would ever sell for if I id'd it while I waited for my items to flip and then buy some more. It is just silly.

Those things will ALWAYS happen in trade-based game. Even if you set inefficient trading, like in PoE, only best of the best stuff will have a chance to be sold.
So, if you want that NOT to be present, it's not enough to make inefficient trading. You must forbid trading AT ALL, either by making all good items non-tradeable, or making an SSF game.
If you want SSF game, it's fine.

An instant AH would mean that stuff like shavs will nearly never drop OR everyone that wants one will have one in a week. It means that all the good items are a thing you don't farm for, you buy. You only THINK it is that way right now. The reality of instant trading, that is user friendly is that it destroys what you identify as "useful" items. I don't want the game balanced around instant trading, I would rather play D3 -shudders- than play this game with instant trading.

Of course, all the scammers listing garbage prices and ES gear being so overpriced and OP means I am playing more console than path anyway...

I don't know how this would BECOME an issue considering literally 95% of items RIGHT NOW are worth 1 alch or less on the market. There are some staple build enabling items that are worth a couple of chaos but anything of significant value is worth 1ex+. Worse still anything truly build enabling is in the 6-10ex range and the op shit is in the 23ex-100ex range.

Right now anyone who wants to play efficiently and effectively already has had their sense for what something useful is destroyed by the current system. When I write a loot filter for myself it hides most of the gear that drops in the game because for one it creates a lot of fatigue with having to look over all the shit that drops and if you are honest with yourself having a truly good rare drop that isn't jewelry has chances that range between an exalt and a mirror drop. RIGHT NOW, not with the introduction of an AH, the only effective means of acquiring what you want is to generate currency and buy it from someone who was lucky enough to have it drop.

So these weak arguments that people and streamers keep bringing up against it are absolutely groundless, these issues are all present right now, without an auction house so having one would not make them any worse. The one thing it might alleviate is me not having to message an average of 90 people when I want to buy something before I get someone who, isn't afk, isn't logged in at all but is shown as online, isn't price fixing, isn't an asshole who thinks their item is worth a mirror, isn't refusing to sell because busy mapping, isn't refusing to sell because there is any interest in the item and now thinks its worth more than what was originally listed for, isn't refusing to sell because there is any interest in item and thinks it must be part of a recipe that they are unaware of, isn't refusing to sell because your equivalent offer of currency isn't what they want, isn't refusing to sell because you offered slightly under listed price and now labeled a flipper.

FUCK TRADING WITH PEOPLE IN THIS GAME

I do not want at any point to deal with the plethora of degenerates that occupy the trading scene here, I want an AH so that I can take the currency I make and transform it into the items I want without any human interaction. Because right now that is already what I do and the worst part about that experience is THAT HUMAN INTERACTION. Nothing that GGG ever says about that will make me believe its a valid point to not have an AH.

Also you know what makes trading with people interesting? Bartering and haggling. You know what this community is most averse to doing while trading? Bartering and haggling. Almost everyone I deal with is only interested in performing a transaction as quickly as possible for as close to the listed amount as possible, if that doesn't indicate to you what the people want *cough* AH *cough* then I don't know what will.

Y'all should stop whining about trade. ggg's stance is in the thread title.

Funny how mods didn't edit that. Speaks volumes about ggg's atitutude towards their clients.

You can't call someone a retard ,yet - if someone calls a whole bunch of people morons it's ok cause ggg approves.

Don't forget to support. Without you there'd be no illusion exiles.

When you give up and accept the status quo like you, you've already lost. Go back to eating your grass sheep, humans are talking here.

I dare anyone defending current trading system (or the lack of it) to try sell your stuff without premium stashes. Just try it and tell me, there's nothing wrong with it.

Also, "AH would ruin the economy" = "I wouldn't be able to scam new players anymore". And that's why you defend it.

Bro, having a lot of stash tabs is a curse, it does not help.

In new leagues, i limit myself to 4-5 stash tabs and give an honest hard look to gear im hoarding, if it does not sell, i vendor

Theres an insanely huge difference between calling someone a moron and a retard.

Moron is a pretty safe word and in fact, theres a Sprint commercial right now where an old man is referring to his son as a moron.

Retard is very non-pc

Funny how ggg seems to ignore the valid points that have been presented before in other threads on the same subject.

Also, the illusion that your "discussion" will actually change anything, is a good veil to pull over your eyes while you spew your hatred of the subject dissimulated in petty insults towards other people cause you don't have the balls to call ggg out.

And to put it bluntly so that ye of little imagination get my shitpost:

As long as you keep asking for a fix for trading no matter what it is and still throw money at ggg they will be happy to take said money and let you "discuss like grownups" on the forums.

Call me a troll if it helps you cope with the lack of a decent trading system. At least I don't give money to ggg and then wonder why they bend me over. You on the other hand seem like you enjoy it.
