[2.6] Ngamahu Molten strike / Cyclone combo | Fast Clearing | Deathless Shaper and t16s! | Videos

Hello @krilox and all,

Can you explain why so much resistances all around (100+ on all 3) I'm missing something I think (new player)

Thank you

Really nice build. LVL 70 ATM and going up fast. The only thing that bothers me as a guy who usually doesn't have 50ish ex to spend on bis gear is the cost of everything so I'm going to type out my little accomplishments with around 2ex budget as well as list gear. Please tell me if any of these changes impact the build a lot because I'm still fairly low LVL and have done only T5 maps(without much problems tho).
1st thing I did to lower the budget is plan my resits. With your build you can have only 4 random rare items (I excluded gloves as insanity gloves with life and res cost a bit more than what I can afford) that would need to give on average around 76 resists with completed tree (which I don't have) while still getting decent life and WED on rings and some int, so I kicked HoA out and added PoE. Jumping from 60 to 70% mana reservation doesn't seem to be a problem at T5s.
I also kicked Devoto's out of the build as it costs 7ex+- in league in favor of Hubri's(I know this is a big hit to dps and mobility but gotta start somewhere :/). I'm also curious if Rat's Nest is any good as a substitute as it costs around 2-3ex.
Last thing i did was kick back to a 5l5s axe as 6l is a bit too much for me atm.
Note: this is just for the start as I didn't have +- any currency when i started making this character. I will most certalty switch to HoA/Devoto's(or Rat's if its any good)/6l when i have the curr.
The complete cost of all the items i have atm is under 2 ex and I'm sitting at 4.5k life (yes the next 15 nodes will be life ones as I rushed for keystones), 500 es (O.O), capped res and enough damage to kill T5 bosses without much trouble.
Also here's the link for the gear in spoiler so you all can tell me how bad I am :). currently saving for xoph's and 6l whichever comes 1st.
Spoiler

Sorry to hit you with this kind of block as most of this info is +- known and if someone posted something like this already. If you want i can keep you updated for how far I got with this gear as the only item I'll be switching soon is the amulet.

ok dude first thing, why are you getting wed rings and shit when you are starved on resis? this build does shit tonnes of damage even without wed rings, just get high life/resis ring and you will be good to go.
next gloves, insanity gloves is not a must, you can just go with life resis gloves. oh look 3 slot opened up for resis.
helm, you know what, the only reason you need int is cos that helm, we are already int starved so idk why you would go for hubris, for every int on gear you lose one line of resis, please, switch to a dif helm. (and also rat's nest literally does fuckall for our build, nice crit when we have base crit of 5%, attack speed? you dont need it)
by going "budget you're limiting your gear and literally putting all these extra effort for nothing.

1st of all I'd like to ask you to reread the note I left in the 1st post

Now lets see what I have vs what I would have had with what you told me to get.
With your changes I wouldn't have 2 wed rings, insanity gloves and a helmet enchant but I would have HoA, much less INT requirement and a bit more life (not too much since I took close to none %life nodes as stated in the 1st post).
Do note that the only reason that I took Hubri's is because of its cost (10c). The entire post was about getting started with the build without investing lots of money (If you think that enchanted Devoto's, 6l axe, WED rings with life and res and Xoph's blood are cheap you can always donate them to poor RandomIdeaNoXIII) while still being able to switch back to original version.
The reason why I asked to evaluate Nest vs Devoto's is because I could get 6l axe and enchanted Nest for the same price as just enchanted Devoto's while they have some stats in common.

wtf are you talking about? nobody expect you to get the perfect gear, heck you dont even NEED the helm enchant, you're running PoE when you couldve just use a rare helm with resis then wait for the fking brutus sprinkler hype to die down so you can get yourself a devoto, by getting hubris you need like what? 100 extra int on your gear?
only core unique in this build is the axe and xoph's blood, you can even essence craft a 6l chest if you wish to and wear a kaom's root instead
oh and even xoph's blood is not required actually, since you're so close to aof you can just grab it on tree by sacrificing a few damage nodes

what would be the cyclone 6-L if u had a second ngamahu axe in ur second weapon slot and u could swap it and if u use leapslam for fortify?

cyc-fastatt-incaoe-wed-elef-fpen ???

or you know, you can just have a 4l6s and it will do perfectly fine
use the same link as the ones he used on gloves

Hey, i was wondering where to go first on the skill tree, since it parts away in a certain point im not sure what to look out for first.

i just thought of swapping herald of ash for a second curse aura (flammability + ele weakness will melt big bosses).

so if im not able to obtain a corrupted xoph's blood with +1 additional curses, is it worth it to go for whispers of doom on the skill tree? thats 5 skill points from ele overload.
or is the difference in dmg between an additional ele weakness not worth it compared to the dmg herald of ash provides?

would it actually be worth it at all in case i had a +1 additional curses xoph's blood?
Im level 58 and I am absolutely facerolling with the Ngamahus. Quick tip for leveling: Thiefs torment is an incredible ring for leveling as your fast attack speed allows you to gain a ton of life/mana from hitting. This ring pretty much allows you to not have to get any other good leveling gear or worry about your passive pathing (which i noticed can be a bit awkward with long travel distances between keystones).

Great build, thanks!

1st, you're not going to get it
2nd so swapping curse? you're telling me you are going to work with 5% unreserved mana?
35*2+25=95 gl with your mana
same goes to anger 30+25+50=105 nice negative mana
holy fuck dude just stop.
nobody is going to spam corrupt something that's worth 3ex+
and arent you new? where did you get all your currency from if you're assuming all these unrealistic stuff? rmt?
and IF you dont get it its still not worth it as bosses are in negative resis already idk how much more you want to reduce it to without fucking up the tree, its not just getting whisper of doom that easy, you're gonna need the fucking mana reservation cluster too.
oh and theres going into hexproof map too, what happens then? why not throw in cospri's will while you're at it

you dont have to you know?
you can just get the leech nodes, get cauteriser, use sunder and you'll be good to go until you use nagmahu

whats rmt? ive got some exalts cause i was able to find and trade some decent rares/uniques. the only things i really needed for this build were ngahamu and xophs. i was playing berserker anyway.

i would have dropped arctic armour in case of using ele weakness. then id have 70% mana reserved.
even if a +1 curse xoph's would be offered for trade, i wouldnt be able to afford it, thats why i was more focused on whisper of doom, but i lose quite alot of life for the 5 skill points, so i think its not worth it.

btw i was testing ele overload by watching the buff in the left corner in the screen while mapping. i tried it on a blue hydra map. i can only keep up ele overload if im mapping like a race car without picking up anything. then its possible to keep it up cause it procs unreliably and u have to hit permanently to be able to keep the buff up. the onslaught buff procs much more often than eo and is easier to sustain. eo is up while facetanking the guardian, if i had to dodge and run all the time it wouldnt be possible to keep eo up. i facetanked and melted minotaur and hydra - havent tried phoenix and chimera yet, but i think i wont be able to facetank phoenix. i tried using ice golem and a diamond flask, but it didnt make a noticeable difference. the focus on the clearspeed is the only thing that made a difference.

i stopped using blood rage cause it caused more problems than it helped. used vaal haste instead, but i cant keep it up all the time and besides recasting it inside the mobs causes a delay that isnt worth it. imho keeping it for the boss isnt worth it either. i tried rallying cry and enduring cry afterwards, but both of them were quite useless.

eventually i added a golem instead. i added a lightning golem to my cwdt setup, cause its more dps than the flame golem and helps u proc eo more often than the ice golem.

i tested cyclone, sweep, cleave, earthquake, sunder and infernal blow for mapping. sweep was probably the fastest with the most aoe, but the dmg is too low for t11+ maps. btw i get stuck with cyclone way too often if its not a wide open map. its not so easy to recognize every single rock on the ground... im using molten strike for single target as well as for mapping now.

i tried dying sun as well. imho inc aoe + dying sun works quite good with molten for mapping. you neednt stack molten projectiles to oneshot the mobs. i tried the overflowing chalice, but it isnt really worth it. if u keep up the clearspeed u can also keep up the flask charges without it. atm i prefer basalt of heat over toh for the freeze immunity - if im running t15+ maps im switching dying sun for toh for the extra dmg mitigation though.

overall a very nice build! im still not convinced that eo is better than rt + primeval force. if u pick rt + primeval force and drop all notes after rt u can pick the life notes around constitution instead and then ull have more life than before as well - even if u have to pick hard knocks for int and diamond skin for res. eo is way too unreliable and depending on speed consistency, making it only outstanding in optimal circumstances. and thats not hypothetical, cause im testing it myself :)

/edit: i saw a molten strike berserker with point blank support instead of ele focus support. is ele focus in this setup better than point blank? i mean we r using point blank in the skill tree, so it cant be wrong using point blank support gem. the question is what provides more dmg? i dont trust the tooltip dps. its 40% projectile dmg vs 50% ele dmg or 50% projectile vs 60% ele with quality gems.
