I crashed few times last league in the Lab, and i was quite angry. Last time i bought a carry of uber lab, i got crashed in the middle of it, it was infuriating, and i just ragequitted. Indeed it doesnt feel right.

This was my initial reason for disliking the Labyrinth. Disconnects are extremely disheartening and entirely a waste of time in regards to the Labyrinth. The rest of the game is built around the understanding that disconnects occur, and they make allowances for it (multiple portals for maps, waypoints for the story). It betrays a lack of respect on the developer's part for players' time investment.
The reasons I've read or maybe heard in an interview about why they made it this way in no way justifies the fact that this mechanic causes so much trouble for players. I know they'd rather fix the problem with disconnects than change the Labyrinth, but until then, many people suffer for no good reason. This lead me to my in-depth analysis of the rest of the mini-game, and found many other reasons to dislike it as a method of character advancement. As a totally optional side-content just for loot and "fun" for those who enjoy it, and for racing, great... but not good as a core part of this game. I won't go through my entire thought process on it in this thread. I have a new PC coming next week, and we'll see if it makes things any better on the disconnect front, but it won't change anything about the rest of the labyrinth's flaws. "I wish people would stop trying to silence others by claiming they're just an insignificant percentage. It's not only insulting, but I can see the lack of having to make an actual counter argument because of it. As for the labyrinth, they should at least make it so that if you DC then the instance of the whole thing are kept intact and you can save your instances by running through what you've already done. It's not ideal but an easy fix that wouldn't really compromise GGG's vision of the lab very much. |

Also, I'll address this briefly: " I'm actually 100% correct, your "statistic", if you can call it that, is not only completely irrelevant due to the percentages of people who actually complain about problems they encounter to companies the problem stems from, you also leave out conveniently the fact that the lab thread was at the time of my last reading the single largest feedback thread in POE's history, with unprecedented negative response and numerous polling sources as well as investigations conducted by skeptical forum users into how many unique accounts were posting on that thread (because you know, having 400 page long threads doesn't indicate anything, we need to verify the sources on all 400 pages to be sure). my evasion is so high i only insta rip sometimes ----- Bug Fixes: People were using cyclone for actual melee builds, so we nerfed it and made blade vortex. " The game has been crashing with the Access Violation exception for a a long time. It's not the only exception but it's probably the most common. The most recent fallout from this was supposed to have been fixed in 2.6.0d but it hasn't really improved things - 64bit client crashing. Looking back at the Development Manifesto regarding Performance Improvements the problem is almost certainly something related to: " Probably the 'safest' way to play the game, right now, is with multi-threading disabled and with one of the asset loading control command switch, such as --noasync. "Happened to me too. Game died while trying to load effects that had already happened and vanished at the time I entered Izaro's room. Good thing I don't really need that 2 points so "only" things I lost were an offering and my time. And worst change is putting almost all bosses in new version of maps into fucking small areas, where you can't kite well or dodge stuff. What a terrible idiot invented that I want say to him: dude flick you, seriously flick you very much.
