How much ES u had

It changed a lot based on my gear (obviously), but I always stayed between 9k and 10.5k es. It changed depending on whether or not I had vaal regalia, sky forth, my rare amulet with flat and % es, and whether or not I used HH. I never went below 9k though. At the very end with headhunter I had 9.5k es.

When people have been running the HoI + CoH + Assassins Mark combo which auras are being run? Right now I am only able to manage Hatred + Discipline + Herald with an enlighten support but if HoI is not supported I can't run it. Which one is being sac'd?

You swap HoA out for HoI, I don't think you could swap out anything else. Running HoI unlinked to enlighten was fine, since I still had the reduced mana reservation nodes on the tree at that point. After getting Skyforth, a level 4 enlighten, and switched to HoA I was able to drop all of the reservation nodes.
Any comments on Lighting Strike or if you have tried it>? Im making a similar build with LS at the moment on LHC and looking for good guides.

Hey, looking at the screenshot of your DPS, I'd say the main difference is crit multi. Your crit multi is only 313% whereas I was rocking 500+%. Therein lies the reason for the discrepancy in DPS.

Hi Inva

Thanks for the build, enjoying it alot.

Below is my gear and tooltip in hideout with abyssus and without abyssus.

Abyssus: https://gyazo.com/e9d1609b941f10db28e84b390929d7da

Hubris: https://gyazo.com/783409fbe0031bce56084ab6284ba95e

Both in hideout.

melting shaper and guardians etc really quickly.

Thanks!

Hey Noxy! Glad you're enjoying the build! Your DPS is higher than mine even without Abyssus!

Hey :)

I switched over from a totally different EV based Raider Frost Blades build to this one. And I am very happy with the switch!

Could you please tell me what I should upgrade next? I don't expect to make a lot of currency until the end of the league, so recommending to buy a 13ex claw or something won't help much because it just won't happen.

Thanks :)

Hey! Glad to hear that! I would probably invest in better jewels. Focus on those with 2 x crit multi and at least 1 x attack speed. Those will bring up your DPS significantly without costing too much.

Just got my first level 100 in LHC with this build, thanks Invalesco for the dank build.

A few notes on my gear progression: I picked up the rare claw I'm using now around 80, it's pretty shit compared to a lot of the claws in LSC but it has served me fine. I wanted to drop touch of anguish asap to pick up herald of ice curse on hit assassins mark, I think that this is the best mapping curse set up pre-skyforths, obviously if you want to kill bosses then it's not gonna be very relevant. Before I got my skyforths I used the 80% stun avoidance boot enchant with the heart of oak notable, again this is for mapping not for bosses. For mapping it worked perfectly and allowed me to use a rare amulet, although eventually I realized bisco's collar was too juicy to not use for making money.

I have some of the OP gear for this build now but for a huge chunk of time on this character I had really cheap gear, I used a skin of the loyal all the way to 97, and because I didn't want to lose too much ES I waited to get my vaal regalia before I used skyforth, so I used rare boots as well all the way to 97. To get my vaal regalia I bought a decent rolled, non 6-linked rare chest and used the vorici socket technique to get 5 off colors on it, cost me around 2500 jewellers which was way more desirable than 5k+ chromes. Unfortunately it took me thousands of fusings to link it so I didn't use it til 97. Late 98 / early 99 is when I got curse on hit shaper's touch gloves. I got pretty lucky, my 9th pair that I vaal'd hit ele weakness. Until then I used CWDT enfeeble which helped for map bosses. After 50% into 99 is when I picked up HH, because I thought why not.

Basically what I'm trying to say is that this build really is quite cheap to get running and I would even consider it a budget build as far as getting to mid 90s goes and even beyond that. It should also be noted that all the currency that I used to buy skyforth and HH with was farmed using this frost blades character, I had 400c start up cash (not that I spent all that right away necessarily) and that's it.

Gratz puncayshun, Hitting 100 in HC is no mean feat! It was certainly great fun watching you progress from your initial starting gear to where you're at now! Great suggestions btw, very helpful.

What do you guys think of this talisman? Will it beat out rares with phys/weapon ele/multi/crit chance in your setups? Found it for somewhat cheap and I figured it will likely be higher dps than anything but a ridiculous rare, and losing one es% craft isn't the end of the world for me

It'll definitely provide higher DPS compared to mine, but is likely comparable to those with similar flat phys, high WED and crit multi. The only downside is losing the %ES craft, but since that's not the end of the world for you then it shouldn't be a problem!

Pity that, it does have a nice flat ES roll!

I haven't played LS recently so I can't really comment much. I should however mention that the main downside of LS is the projectiles' inability to go past pebbles/stones, which can be quite infuriating at times. As of now, I would still consider FB the superior skill due to the threshold jewels and the FB projectiles being able to auto-aim and not be blocked by stones/pebbles. LS base attack damage bonus is otherwise decent, so if you're willing to overlook its downside, you should be fine.

Hello guys,
First of all thx a lot for the guide and all the very informative answers.
Now I'm a pretty new Poe player (played a bit during Perandus then nothing until this league) and I've opted for your build since the beginning of the league. Everything has been going well but I'm now feeling kind of stuck. I can run up to T10 quite efficiently but I, for example, don't feel like running breach leaguestones because my damage feels too low to kill the rare and I often die because I'm getting overwhelmed by the rare monsters spawning, even though I'm currently standing at almost 8k Es and I've all resist capped.

Could you have a look at my character and maybe give a few advice as to the things that might help me with the aforementioned problem? I'll soon fix the part of the tree around Vaal Pact but I'm not sure about the next points. Maybe the flask nodes?

As to the gear I guess I should get a better amulet/ring? I bought a steel ring with 20pdmg and it barely increases my ho DPS, is it "normal"?

Thx a lot for your help and keep on producing such quality yet understandable content!!

P.S.: I guess getting 20/20 gems will help a lot and I'll be working toward it but should I make it my absolute priority?
Hey, just passing by to inform that I still have 2 pretty decent items to sell, feel free to PM or contact me ingame:

I have an open prefix on a claw, what would be more beneficial: WED or flat cold?
Just want to show off a bit :) nothing fancy but seriously all content too ez

So, was trying to craft an Archon Kite Shield I had as I had a legacy one with the implicit 24% All Resist on it to try that out instead of my current shield. I'd lose some ES initially, but could maybe swap around my rings for something a bit better on stats. Anyways...now I REALLY don't want to try and craft this any further...

I hit Seeraphim and Virrtuso (hybrid and Intelligence) on an eventual Alt + Augment and then the Regal was Interpolated (T2, not high enough ilvl for T1), and that by itself is amazing. This is one of those times I REALLY, REALLY wish I had Eternal Orbs to spare. I mean, I can Master Craft flat ES just to block out all Prefixes, and pray I get lucky with Exalts on the suffixes (dream would be high Strength and % All Resist), and then I would have to try and get high flat ES after that. But...yeah...good luck with that. :\
So I jokingly picked up a regalia out of guild stash and said I'd make my gg chest, and after 500 jewellers for vorici coloring and ~40 chaos I actually kinda did:

problem is I'm undercapped on lightning resist with it, which piece should I replace? I think the only thing I can feasibly replace is the ring with multi, I'm pretty sure the hysteria belt is better than one with 40% wed. I could try and squeeze all resist onto my shield, but I doubt that would be attainable.

aside from the juggling there, I'm pretty much done gear-wise until I can get ele weakness shaper's touch

You should try to get a 60% stun resist boots (80% would be awesome), this will allow you to use a steel ring instead of valyrium. After that you need a high flat phys dmg + crit multi amulet. These changes will give a boost in your DPS
