When supported with proper pantheon vs bleed (as amour has no effect on bleed) it might be worth a try I think. However I allready see she will be much squisher than Jugg, I doubt she will do T16 Mino / Shaper safely. Maybe when @6.3k+ HP than yes.

Edit2: Regarding witch once more. Because witch will be using the red trails and not inyas I think she doesnt have to have 5 endu and power charges and will work just fine with 4/4/4 charge distribution. This way remaining 4 points can be spent on life getting her closer to that magic 6.3k hp which should allow for tanking Shaper/Mino. Tho im not sold yet because of that bleed problem.

Hi Rico

A Question, if one doesnt intent to use arc, only discharge the target aps would be 3.3 right? with arc it would be 6.6?

Does the Spell Damage per Power Charge even work with discharge? You consum all charges before discharge explodes so at the time of the damage there aren't any charges or do i miss something?

Yes but you need tiny bit less to be sure your next hit will land when spell is ready to go. So 3.2 and 6.5.

Yes you missed that dmg is calculated before it goes off.

The bleed from red trails isn't an issue since the bleed is based off your physical dmg inflicted and it's like 300 dmg per molten strike ball and it doesnt stack or anything. I think the pantheon makes you immune to bleed which you dont want. Bigger problem is stun immunity which can be handled by brine king and 80% enchant on boots which I've run like 20 ulabs and still haven't hit.

Also I'm constantly at max charges due to the number of hits per sec so 5 power and end definitely is not overkill with molten strike.

Im not talking about that bleed, but this bleed:



50% chance from any monster hit (bosses included). Im talking about Shaper slam, Malachai slam, Dominus "Touch of God" (TM), T16 Mino hits etc. Those will inflict HUGE bleed on you. Also high tier maps with dmg mods where a hit from rare or blue mob can inflict bleed that will kill u in seconds. I played enough with those boots as Inquisitor Mjolner back in 3.3 to know how dangerous those things are. However I will still give it a chance in Witch/Ele setup.

Also I think you might be wrong on your PC/EC generation. As Romiras grants charges per skill cast not per every hit. So once per molten strike no matter how many balls. This way you will have at best 3 PCs per Discharge - one from Molten Strike initial hit, one from Discharge cast, one from Arc cast. Im not even sure that introduction of another spell that hit frequently enough (like firestorm or blade vortex) would help with that (one PC per skill cast). You can verify that yourself - unsocket Arc and Discharge, go low lvl map or main story area and attack mobs with Molten Strike - notice how many PCs you've gained. Also cast Firestorm / BV yourself at the mob to see how many PCs you will gain. Sad but true.

Frenzy are another story as with The Red Trails you're generating one FC per each hit (like with Volls chest) so one for initial motlen strike hit and one for every ball. Droping PCs/ECs and investing in the Frenzy Charges is a wise thing to do with this kind of setup. Bad news is that most of the frenzy charges are to far on a passive tree.

Can you take a look at my character and tell me what the best dps boost is i could get?
Guide updated for 3.5 with new PoB pastebins, trees, gear and gems etc.

Took me 4 hours to just reread and correct every essential info...

Reviewed your char in PoB.

1) You should definitely use Arcane Surge on switch for extra 15% more DPS for over 40sec.

2) For fat bosses like Guardians try to use Ele Focus 20/20 instead of CD in Mjolner (as you wont shock them anyway).

3) 40% Discharge dmg enchant on helmet.

4) If still not enough than drop Purity of Ice (you are cold capped anyway) and use Wise Oak flask (with your current res balance will work on fire only but thats ok as fire is your main).

This way I went from to 57k to 70k Discharge and from 16.4 to 25.7k Arc damage per use vs Shaper. So from 309k to 410k Shaper DPS. 350-430k Shaper DPS is where current Jugg sits in terms of dmg output and theres not much to do about it. If u still need more go Indigon Mjolner (up to 650k Shaper DPS with current nerfed Indigon).
