Do you know why Exalted price has fallen so hard on BSC?
Nvm, i'm out. Moderators removing shit while people call me names as if they know me. I think they should actually read the thread instead of badges. This thread is me pointing out the market manipulation, if i'm offending someone, it is because they started acting like shit at me first. But well, let's all have a good laugh.

I agree with OP, with Robin, with Demonoz, with Snorkle and many others as each point of view is correct. Debate here looks like what was first: chicken or egg? Imo some things come out from "living" market, other from speculators.
I will add ideas (conspiracy?) :) 1) announcement of XBox version made people take a break/left so less people is playing and not many people do recipes now 2) more people has lvl high enough to make regal recipes instead of chaos recipes, so they roll blue maps, regal them and if needed chaos them. 3) whole world went to see Trump take office = less recipes :) |

Wait to see how butt hurts when league ends and from 40C to exa every one enters in standard at 90 C to 1 exa.

I would never pretend to understand why this has happened. Took a small break for a couple weeks, came back to see the exalts in my stash are worth like 40% less. At the same time items are worth the same as before (chaos values) or higher. That doesn't feel great, especially for someone that doesn't play very often. Oh well!

Got some chaos in a trade. I don't belive in this 40C at 1 exa so I exchange all the chaos to exa as soon as i can. Guess what? No one from those listed on poe with 40-44 chaos for 1 exa would respond to you, no one will trade with you, or you just get "sold".
So much for the real value and trade scam. |

Wow man. The reason why people price stuff in chaos is because Exalted price behaviour, not vice versa. People started to price items in chaos only because Exalted orb is unstable dropping in value every day.
Probably this is just troll thread though xD Last edited by SunL4D2#6224 on Jan 22, 2017, 10:50:30 AM

The problem with the market is that there is no safeguard, no regulation. Anyone can do whatever they like provided there are people who will buy into that. For example, there's nothing stopping the 0.1% from collaborating together to corner every aspect of the high-end market.
So it's more than a free market, it's a completely open market. A free market has at least some form of balance, along with regulations it must comply with in order to function. That said, I'm not complaining, but I understand why people like the OP do. Are they justified for the tantrum? Probably not. Are they right? Yes. The only solution in such an open market is for the masses to stop falling for price gouging and tactics of the 0.1%. And that's probably not going to happen anytime soon. ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄

I don't understand u guys. Even if someone is manipulating - and what?
Just look what i crafted today: Spent 1 exalt for this 16% ES, and 1 ex baught for only 40 chaos. This is very good. Such ring ... for 40 chaos! Just use circustamces in ur advantage. That's it. How not to miss Skill Books /view-thread/1940679

" Correct, you don't understand. Inflation example: someone decides to buy up items on the market and then relist at a much higher price. Buyers would suffer. Deflation example: someone decides to list many items significantly below the going rate. The search engine favors showing those items first. Buyers contact the seller, but the seller ignores them. Other sellers see this price and list their item accordingly. The undervalued item is then purchased by the original seller. Sellers would suffer. The latter is more common, as it's a quicker way to turn a profit. The former requires more of an up-front investment. These two exploits can happen at a smaller scale with a specific item or type of items (ie: "corning the market"). To give you an example, the "free market" of the world has regulations in place to prevent or at least curb this sort of activity. ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄
