Sorry for the stupid question, but what is better SRS 20-20 or 21-00?

21/00 is better for pure damage, but I'd hesitate to trade 20% minion movement speed for a single level. In my opinion, stick with the 20/20.

been running for the 2 month with 21/00 = more then enough movespeed With all auras we got. And it is a good dmg boost.
Whatsoever for endgame - shaper-uberatziri U will need 21\20. For the rest of content 21\00 is just fine.

I've to agree with Ryansider. For regular mapping I would probably stick with the 20/20, and then use the 21/00 gem if I would be doing a hard encounter. Now I haven't tested 21/00 vs 20/20, but I do notice a significant difference when I swap from 20/00 to 20/20.

Shaper/Atziri are both quite slow, so I would think that a 21/00 would do the job as good as the 21/20. The trash clearing would just be a bit slower.

Anyone else looking forward to 2.6? =) I wonder if it would be possible to be lucky enough to get a 240%+ rolled legacy Shavs ;)

So I took a look through the old legacy items, and here's all that I noticed that could make a difference for us. Although, most are MF related.
  • Wondertraps: 10% -> 15% MS
  • Goldwyrm: 14-20% -> 20-30% IIQ
  • Perandus Blazon: 6-8% -> 8-12% IIQ
  • Sadima's Touch: 12-16% -> 18-24% IIQ
  • Shavronne's Revelation: 3% -> 4% ES regen
  • Shavronne's Wrappings: 140-200% -> 200-250% increased ES

Pretty much only the Shavs items that are interesting, even if you can make a pretty awesome breach farmer with all the IIQ gear.

If I missed any useful legacy items, please do inform me ;)

So I am pretty new to the game really got into this season made a aurabot because I mainly play with friends for next league I found this build and was really looking forward to it still get my auras and support but I can clear my own stuff as well. After reading the manifesto tonight and scrolling through the forums some people are saying these builds wont work anymore. Are they just being negative or is there enough info out to confirm that they wont work next league? I really want to play it but at the same time I dont want to start a build that doesnt work.
Im really interested in the post ^

I think we can still fine, with good support and overall pretty decent clear speed but the nerf in vaal discipline is huge and i don't know how important is to facetank endgame content.

Any thoughts there?

Thanks.

People are always being such kids and cries about every single nerf (and buffs too sometimes) that affects their characters. I just read the manifesto and while it will impact the build, it will certainly not break the build.

The nerfs to the vaal auras will be felt but as k33s69 said about vaal disc it should only be noticable while trying to facetank stuff, and it shouldn't make much of a difference while mapping (which is our thing). I'll most likely keep it in the setup as it's still our only "oh shit" ability. Concerning Vaal Haste, Even if they cut 1/3 of the power of the skill it'll still be really powerful for us as we do have the 66% increased effect of auras, plus the Commander of Darkness Bonuses that applies while the vaal aura is active.

I wonder if the AoE changes will affect us positively or negatively. Our Aura range will most certainly be decreased, but that shouldn't have too much of an effect. What I'm more curious about is the range of the Melee Splash. They wrote that: "As another notable change, Melee Splash now gains significantly more increased area than it did increased radius as the gem levels, bringing it much closer to equivalent area skills." and from that I take that our spirits will have a larger AoE, which with the Vaal Haste nerf should keep our clear speed at the same level as today.

In regards to the Vaal Discipline nerf - I haven't really gotten to any endgame (UberLab / Atziri) ever and with the latest guidance by Tahreyn I pushed my ES to 8K+ this league. But the only benefit of Vaal Discipline I see in the content I do is actually the function that remained, that means the constant replenishment while casting is still in effect.

That being said, is there going to be significant impact on our build with not being able to push the ES to incredible numbers with VD, or do we just have to compensate by playing a little bit smarter and avoiding facetanking stuff?

There wasn't any changes to the effect of Vaal Clarity in the manifest, except maybe that it'll have a smaller AoE. So Vaal Clarity will still be a go to choice for us for the no mana/life cost of spells.

As for Vaal Discipline, it might be as you say that we'll need to play a bit smarter and not facetank everything when VC is up. Although with VC, 9k+ ES, and the Essence Surge notable we should still be able to facetank most bosses.

Mixed apples and pears... meant Vaal Discipline of course, not Clarity that I wrote.

Fixed my original post.
