Very fast and fun build... currently i´m at 35k hideout DPS with discipline and Ice/Thunder Herald... fully buffed 110k. my gear is still pretty bad and i´m looking for some upgrades... which one should i upgrade first? have 25ex budget

I would deffinetly begin with the Doom Grip ring and probably try finding a helmet with int
Thanks will search something sweet now... will also sell my body armour and buy 750-800 with high int and res

I don't feel like Dying Sun is good for a ST build. The extra projectiles don't do enough to outweigh the fact that it wrecks your Wise Oak balance unless you either have Vinktar up at the same time or invest an absurd amount into overcapping your lightning res.

Herald of Ice + Herald of Thunder is also worse than just using Wrath. It's possible it'll give more tooltip, but all of your penetration is in lightning so effective DPS wise just stacking more lightning is better.

Lastly I'm pretty sure you need more accuracy really badly. Aim for about 600 flat accuracy on gear. This will be easier if you find a chest piece with good res as you say and get the accuracy on a ring.
i can´t play without my gloom herald MTX...thats the problem lol. Which flask should i use instead? maybe legacy rumi? currently i´m looking for exatly this kind of gear but its hard to find something good. Thank u for the tips i will go for it!
Can vouch for this build. I feel the flame dash is quite useless in this build, so I replaced it with a spell totem linked to elemental weakness. That way, I can focus on spamming ST and dodging. Eventually, bosses will attack the totem instead, so you lower the chance of getting randomly sniped.

The totem additionally helps with Atziri's curse reflect - running out of flasks during Atziri fight is very common, so you'd not be missing the curse removal.
Pretty much done with this build now. Any further levels are just quality of life bonuses.

Skill tree is a variant of the ST skyforths tree posted: www.poeurl.com/bgLh

I have 90k GMP DPS in hideout with auras + golem with 10k ES, which goes up to around 230k with all buffs active. Accuracy is only at 89% but good enough with only one source of accuracy from gear. Stuff dies fast.

Just to be sure : would you consider my current amulet better than a 110+ Astramentis ?

Beats me :-)

To decide this on your own...

As a fist approximation - figure out how your DPS scales with increased int, and dex.

How? Equip pieces of gear differing only in int/dex and figure out the DPS change per that stat.

Similarly you can figure out the current value of crit multi/crit percent - and indeed any other stat.
============
Next, multiply the stat differences with the corresponding DPS value and sum up to figure out - approximately - what your total DPS would be gvien any gear choice.

The result above is, however, approximate - virtually every stat is subject to diminishing returns, becoming less valuable as you accumulate more and more of the stat.
=============
Another approach...

Download the Path of Builds app and use it to figure out what your DPS would be given vavrious gear options.

I haven't used this app and cannot vouch for it's accuracy - but, if correctly programmed, a DPS simulator/analyzer would be your best bet at picking optimal gear.

Ok so I had a great deal on a 113 Astramentis and it turned out it's a bit better than my old yellow amulet. +2k dps (more AS with it too thx to DEX), +300 ES, it feels more "rounded" for now so I will keep it.

Pretty happy for now and considering my stuff. Only have something like 7k5 ES so I'm considering Void Barrier to feel safer in high tier map.
Actually got 66k+ dps in HO and nearly 125k fully buffed. I still don't have Vinktar so I think I'm good for damage and I will focus on defense now, as soon as I have my vinktar.

Thank you @Inva and all of you people in this thread for your help, really appreciated.

Nice work upping your DPS!

A nice thing about this build is that there's so much upside to damage - even though gear prices are insane, with clever work-arounds, 70K or so DPS is within range given modest investment.
========
7.5K ES is really low - as you've mentioned in your post... you really want to up that to 9K at least; personally, I like having 10K or more if possible.

Sulphur Flask of Staunching, Basalt Flask of Staunching, Atziri's Promise, or a well-rolled Legacy Rumi's Conction are the best choices, up to you which one.

I personally like the Basalt myself - protects against one shots / shotgun physical damage and I've never run out of bleed immunity except against a ghosted Chimera.

Rumi will give the most overall damage mitigation but is expensive and can't roll affixes, I find myself needing two bleed immunity flasks often.

Sulphur gives less tooltip DPS than Atziri, but it'll be lightning damage so depending on enemy resists might be more damage. Sulphur also let's you put on useful affixes and has 3 uses.

Not sure why you feel it's useless - you don't use it to get around in Shaped Strand of course, but if you want to play Lab/Shaper or any multi-tier maps like Promenade/Mesa/Beacon it's quite handy.

Curse Totem is a nice option, although it competes with Ancestral Protector which gives a pretty solid boost as well.
