Pretty much done with this build now. Any further levels are just quality of life bonuses.

Skill tree is a variant of the ST skyforths tree posted: www.poeurl.com/bgLh

Dropping the jewel slot and power charge on top(connecting on the bottom line) then going for Primeval Force and Forces of Nature gets you 9% more dmg(according to pob). Dropping Void Barrier and going for the witch es below Deep Wisdom(to the 12%) gets you slightly more es and 1% less evade chance. (but you have the reflect resistance from Primeval Force which I find is the main killer anyway)

and i use 3x fertile mind, 1 Emperor's wit, 1 intuitive leap for frenzy and power charge in shadow area , 2x rare jewels with crit multiplier

how can i upgrade the build ? i wanna stick with ST it feels safer and quicker than BF. Currently i have 1019 intelligence. 34K dps with gmp in hideout.

Thanks for the suggestion re: primeval force & forces of nature. Unfortunately I need the resists from void barrier but I'll have one last look to see if there are any more feasible gear upgrades I can make.

Amulet's the most blatant offender. Astramentis is so overrated.

But you don't need to change it.

I looked at the tree again. 15% more dmg, bit more es, and you keep Void Barrier. (But for dps there's much better than Astra) Dropped the stuff at the top and the other power charge. Went for the previously mentioned two and Foresight. Might be some other changes but it's late.

EDIT: Just noticed the rogue 4%as in the top right corner. lol (edit: Just swap it to the 30 dex node. Same dps boost but might help prereqs.)

Played a Howa build last league, wanted to try again this league but with crit. Just made a new howa char 2 days ago after making some money w/ other builds. Really need some advice on gear/skill tree cuz i am no where near 200k st dps.

Here's my current gear:

Alot of the stuff so far is just passed down from my other builds for now. Few questions, whats the best spectral throw enchant, what kind of amulet beats astramentis, whats an ideal ring look like. Also my char is public so plz critique my tree. My current town h/o dps is slightly under 50k w/ HH on, prolly a little bit more with a crystal belt but no where near 200k.

Also I have so many free slots on my gear lol, what are you guys filling up the free slots with?

Edit: I looked at most of the other builds posted here and they run ele focus, is that alot more dps than faster attacks, kinda hesitant to rechrome my regalia cuz I share it w/ my other chars and it's quite hard to chrome, but if ele focus is alot better I'll do it. Also saw that u guys are all using wise oak so i switched up the dying sun and ToH to balance resists and put in wise oak and rumi's instead, is it alot better than dying sun?

Edit 2: Respecced part of my tree to be more agressive, chnaged out fertile minds for agressive jewels, h/o dps w/ gmp at around 70k now w/ HH on, getting better but still needs improvement

200k in build section isnt a fully buff dmg, i think its around 100 in HO.

I was playing non crit ST in Breach and tried Crit version now and it feels slow as hell, missing that Faster Attacks a lot, getting crit and crit multi also means dropping some as nodes and dropping as on jewels, whirling blades are slower also. I don't think its worth it, u can reach around 70-80k DPS HO even with non crit and going further even with Crit gonna mean a lot of investment.

Interesting...

I too played non-crit HoWA last league.

With modest expense, I hit about 40K GMP H/O DPS as non-crit.

This league, with similar outlay towards gear, I'm at 68K H/O DPS and am 2 levels lower than last league (were I to level twice I'd be at 72K H/O DPS).

Although HoWA nodes have been buffed, it seems to me that for similar gear expenditures, crit HoWA will outperform non-crit.
=============
As for missing attack speed - I personally don't miss it at all.

With crit-HoWA spectral throw, you fire off projectiles less often, but they hit for much more damage. One benefit to the slower attack speed is that crit-HoWA is a bit more forgiving if you fail to hit your target for whatever reason - running out of mana slower.

With respect to whirling blades - since we link WB to faster attacks - the resultant movement speed is plenty fast for me.
hmm

I did play a little with crit but it felt slow but i was around lvl 80 then so that can explain.

I had a hard time last week chosing a next build for me, thinked about new Invalesco Frost Blades but seems it won't be as good with my budget as i wish so.

I have around 80EX now and i think i gonna go for a HoWA ST, just still not sure if Crit or Non-Crit. Its possible to get to around 70K on non-crit with empowered Wrath and HoT in +1 Shaper Gloves.

How would u spent that 80 EX on Crit Gear?

HoWA gonna be around 1 EX or less each - 2
Regalia 800 + ES or sth better? - 20?
Rings Like 5 EX each or so thats - 10
Belt, Boots, Gloves (like few EX each) - 15~?
Amulet? i dont have idea ----- 5~?
Helmet - 5-10 EX

thats around 60 so still can get some better pieces, maybe Emperor's Wit?

give me ur opinions

Also is there a chance u could make a short movie from Guardian fight or so? Im curious of the speed of Crit HoWA

I'm not sure one can say that Crit or non-Crit are definitively better than the other. Ultimately it depends on what kind of gear you have access to. This is true throughout the spectrum of gear levels even if you were talking about being able to custom craft perfect gear for yourself; For example a 'perfect' HoWA ring would probably have WED, ES%, flat Lightning Dmg, Int, Accuracy, and one essence crafted mod - either % Lightning Damage, or you can get Crit Chance/Multi if you're crit based.

The key benefit, IMO, of going crit is highlighted in that example I just gave - Crit actually gives you more options, not less. All of the ways you can scale damage for non-crit also apply to crit, but crit additionally gets crit scaling options for improving damage. Moreso than during Breach, this league it seems like half the league is running HoWA, so stuff that scales both non-crit and crit is extremely expensive; Especially when you are the intermediate stages of gear it's frequently much cheaper to buy gear that is for generic Crit builds than specifically for HoWA.

If you have spare currency buy a HoWA with Culling implicit.

For reference, my gear is probably along the order of 50-60ex or so total, and right now my hideout DPS is 85k and I have 10k ES. If I were willing to live with 9k ES insteadI could squeeze it up to 95k-ish by dropping discipline and using empowered Wrath + HoT. While I would lose the 40% more multiplier from EO, keep in mind that a Diamond flask scaled your damage substantially better than any other flask; If you were say competing against a Sulphur flask as your last flask spot, then a Diamond flask gives roughly 30% more damage whereas a Sulphur gives something like 10% more. So in theory given the same conditions my build with all flasks / charges up gives 15% or so more damage than a non-crit build with 70k hideout; alternatively I can keep Discipline and still do about the same damage as the non-crit build.
