Dropped Discipline, still have 9k ES. Big boost is probably from the 300 extra int I got from switching trees. I'm comfortable with that for now.

Last night I managed my first deathless all corrupted guardians, shaper, and uber Atziri, and a nice solid 3.8 second chayula (Finished the map with 43 seconds on the clock). I failed all of these while crit with a 375 multiplier. Guardians didn't even get the privilege to experience the vinktar. The DPS boost from empower + Wrath is quite nice.

I think the attack speed is what is keeping me alive and making my life very easy now.

I feel like I invested pretty well into crit, but my anecdotal results are enough for me to stay non-crit.

Yeah I mean if it works for you, by all means you should stick with what you like. I think we're just pointing out the pros and cons so that people can decide for themselves what works better with their setup - 9k ES is comfortable for some people, not for others. Same with the different amount of leech.

I am personally more comfortable with the crit setup, because I feel like the additional ES and leech allow me to do T16s with stuff like Enfeeble / Temp Chains / Ele Weakness more comfortably, but that's just me and my gear and my preferences :)
How does Blade Flurry compare to Spectral Throw in 2.6? I am currently at level 84 as Blade Flurry but I'm wondering if I would be better off as Spectral Throw.
Yo invalesco , i have 79k dps on gmp with golem and wrath at lvl 93 and 9.8k ES .... i can reach 100k dps at 95 with a new jewel,40% on helm and better ammy(i still use astramentis) but i still rip at random stuff.... my question, is worth to upgrade the gear? or should i try your frost blade build?have 100ex to use
Alright serious question guys....should I drop/sell my skyforth and respec to the normal non sky tree? I'm loving this build but have no idea how you guys are getting like 80k dps in HO. I'm at 52657 in HO and have been fine tuning my gear where I can. The hardest part for me is the STR/DEX/res juggle every time I consider upgrading gear. Trying to get my accuracy from 80% to currently 91% was a complete nightmare. I really want more crit multi as that's what this build is for (currently at 365%). My res is killing me though, sky has no res on it but the power charges are no joke. They are up 100% of the time in maps after my first pack, plus the built in stun resist and 6% reserved lets me empower 4 my disc/wrath.

I'm conflicted. Fully buffed I believe i'm over 200k dps (maybe even 300 haven't really looked with all charges/flasks). Bosses just melt in seconds but I haven't tried guardians / shaper yet. I know freeing up the boots will get me more res and int also allowing me to drop my stat stick ring i'm currently using and start building more crit multi / drop all my res jewels for dps. What would you guys do? The builds a lot of fun and as long as I can do it all, I don't mind sinking everything into it!

Edit: recently bought the 40% dmg helm (got one for 5ex not bad). The damage was immediately noticeable. ES is a bit low on it but I NEED the resists once again.

I'd say the main issue is lack of multi on your jewelry/jewels. If you get 2 multi mods on each jewel, this will give you insane boost.

But for that you need to solve your accuracy/resistances problems first. I highly recommend Shaper's Touch, it allows you to forget about dex and/or accuracy forever. As a result, you'll be able to get more mods like crit multi/EWD on jewelry.

I would definitely drop Skyforth for Shaper's Touch and then start slowly replacing gear to accommodate new stats. I'm a big fan of these boots, but they're just a bad fit for this build. You lose more than you gain, IMO.

Check out my gear. I had to juggle some resistances as well, at the end I just got 1 res affix on one of the jewels.

P.S. I think someone else on this thread got insane DPS with Skyforth? Not sure.

I think most people are going ST this league because Blade Flurry got nerfed on both AoE and damage. BF will still likely give you superior damage on boss fights, but something like say your Shaped Strand clear speed is going to be noticeably slower with BF than ST.
Hi,
I'm getting 57k in hideout at level 94.
But i don't know what i need to improve in my gear to improve my dps.

Also i'm not sure about my gem setup. Is it fine?

Coffeecrank said it as well but yeah, this is why running Skyforth is difficult in this build. It's actually arguably not worthwhile even if you had infinite currency and could custom craft the gear you want - let me explain why:

On your gear, you have 3 suffix slots each. On ideal gear, each of piece of gear would have Int as one of the suffixes, so you're automatically down to 2 each on each of helm/chest/gloves/boots/amulet/belt/ring/ring. You need 9 T1 resists (or the equivalent thereof) to cap resists in the minimum number of affix slots.

On chest/belt you want 2 resists, giving you 4.

On your Amulet and Rings, ideally you don't want any resists - 100% ideal would be Int/Crit Multi/ All Attributes or Crit Chance on Amulet, and on Rings Int/Attack Speed or Accuracy/ Crit Multi (via Essence crafting)

So you have your Helmet, Gloves, and Boots left for resist slots. Out of those, ideally you'd want Accuracy on your helmet and attack speed on your gloves, giving you 4 slots. So even under completely optimal circumstances, you are already starved of affix slots for resists to get enough resists to be capped.

Each additional affix slot you take away from your options (be it gloves using Shaper's Touch, boots using Skyforth, or not getting any resists on your rings) is more compromises you need to make on your other gear or jewels in order to have enough resists. This is the main reason why it's difficult to make Skyforth work - even more than the lack of ES or Int on it, losing two suffix slots for resists on a gear slot that doesn't traditionally compete for resists crowds out really good affixes in other slots even if cost weren't an issue. When cost is a factor, the problem is even worse because it becomes increasingly difficult to get good gear the more stuff you NEED on certain pieces like rings. Much of the time something like 'I want an Opal Ring with WED/Accuracy/40%+ cold resists' is an issue simply because no such ring is on sale at all, regardless of if you're willing to pay 20ex for it.

So ultimately it's up to you if you think it's worth the compromises you think you need to make. Bear in mind that given the above it's not really fair to compare your hideout DPS vs someone who doesn't use Skyforth, since the Power Charges do contribute a good chunk of damage that we are not getting consistently.

Thanks, you guys both make some very valid arguments and your breakdown really does help fill in the gap. I'm gonna run guardians tonight and see how survival / timing goes. I think that will be an important factor. The power charges are legit up all the time, even during bosses and they literally just drop in 1-2 throws atm (only been running vault, shaped reef, strand, mesa atm farming). I think guardians will be a good gauge if I should even worry about it or just keep going with where i'm at now.

Find a better jewel for the jewel socket near Frenetic - Fertile Mind doesn't give you a whole lot there. Attack speed + double Crit Multi.

Also I'm not sure what your budget is like, but I would focus on trying to find a chest that has a lot more resists. Having good resists on your chest will substantially free up the rest of your gear to getting more damage. Even if you have to lose a little ES on your chest, you can easily make up for it by master crafting ES% on your rings if you can don't need resists on them.
