IC has 0.4s base duration. Basically what you're doing with the setup is creating a half second of physical immunity. The main place this helps is when you run into a big pack of Porcupine Goliaths; their death explosion deals fairly heavy physical damage, and when 15+ of them hit you in rapid succession it tends to be really bad, especially because you hit them and leech off of them a split second before the projectiles hit you so you often have no leech going while you take the damage. IC+CwDT makes them substantially less dangerous.

very nice build, thanks for the effort.
i've started last weekend, follow the bf tree and now i reached lvl70.

as of lvl70 i have 7,7k es / 3,5k dps (unbuffed and 5-link chest) in h/o. i guess these figures are good to start mapping.

i also have 2 questions:

-i found a jewel in my stash which has 4ias / %27 total multiplier / 11 incr. area damage.
i start to use that but i dont know is area damage worth anything? should i upgrade that jewel?

-this is my 5link setup. is that correct? or should i pick elemental focus over one of these gems? (6-link chests are far away for my budget)

and what should i aim for upgrade? my setup is as follow:

You can check my build, I was able to kill guardians and shaper deathless. Just remember if you want to use wise oak like I did, you must overcap your light resist more then other res.

So before you switch from the leveling build to the actual build build, you have to have 40+ respec points? Am I reading that correctly? How many points exactly should we have?

Couldn't kill the Phoenix last night. Had some nasty map mods (less crit damage, boss deals 104% extra lightning damage, boss has 35% increased life).

Kind of bummed on that, tried purity of fire instead of wrath. 300-320k tool tip for slower proj wasn't enough, he deleted 10k ES pretty much effortlessly. I know the fight mechanics, I've probably killed the guy 100x in total.

I'm at level 94 now and the build is getting boring. I know I will probably never level again. My scourge blade flurry is needing some major attention. That dude deletes Phoenix in about 2 seconds.

after some testing with 240 ES 30 int boots i still find my version superior

I'm come back to PoE after 5 years and looking for fun and universal build.
How much this build is gear dependent? I have tried Ngamahu-cycloner and found it not much fun. But I've got some currency.

Is it enough for decent starting gear?
