So not in love with the Pyre nerf. I loved this build last league and was looking forward to doing it again.
I'm theorizing maybe doing this with a Beserker this time. The 40 percent more damage along with the life leech nodes seem.... interesting. It could free up a slot that could be used by the cold to fire gem. Anyone have any thoughts? |

Hello i want to play your build in new legacy league but i will be playing s/c becuz i dont have good computer so i got few questions and i hope you can answer them :)
So i wanna do bersker whispering ice becuz of the crazy lifesteal and immune to stuns so my question is we wont be taking Unwavering Stance right and this is kinda huge plus? Also is this build actually good with bersker like wouldnt i have problems getting ES gears and a lot of int? and can this build use CI+Vaal Pact becuz those nodes seems to be so far away from marauder so i have no idea how skill tree will look like so i was thinking can you do a skill tree for me from bersker? and is it possible to switch to CI at lvl 68? Also i was thinking to farm whispering ice divination cards in cruel act 2 becuz i dont see other way how to get it i dont wanna wait for days or weeks until the price will drop for this staff just wondering is it gonna take long while to farm those 4 pieces? Also i know its gonna be pain in ass to level without whispering ice staff becuz of mana problems and that with scorhing ray alone wont be enough so i was thinking doing self cast flameblast until i get whispering ice do you think its a good idea? " Hi Yes you can play it on a Berserker just fine - if you check the spec in my profile you will see it is pretty close to Marauder starting point so the actual passive tree maybe has like 5 different points traveling. As much as I like berserkers stun protection, it is on kill and as of thus does not protect you against bosses. So I would take unwavering stance regardless. Also, not going for unwavering doesn't really save you a whole lot - because you convert all the strength on the route to intelligence (brute force jewels) the route to US is about 200 int if not more! You can swap to CI even at 38 when you can equip icestorm+cwc, it's good enough. Whispering Ice should be like 1 chaos maybe a week into the league, it's a common unique and not all that many that play it. If you really want one before you can buy one - cards are indeed your best bet. You can self cast Icestorm with the exact same build without mana issues IF you are using an enlighten like I am and have the mana leech (warlord's mark) sorted. I wouldn't recommend it as spell echo animation is even more annoying to wait for as the small CwC delay. All your spec questions -> just look at my passive tree and gems, it is updated for 2.6 with AoF+CtF already taken - and all that changes on a berserker is removing the few int points traveling from witch start and replacing them with traveling from marauder instead. edit: difference between INT with marauder vs witch is maybe 80 int in favor of witch. But berserker gets MORE dmg multiplier, so that makes up for it if not better :) Berserker build linked below: I took the jewel above marauder start instead of the one right side of scion - I think another brute force jewel there should convert the strength at marauder start as well - but check this yourself. Oh okay thanks for all the info but i was wondering if its possible to get at lvl 68-70

" Because the skill comes from whispering ice staff - the level req is the level req of the staff (33). It's base damage only scales with INT and not your level, the skill always stays level 1. Hey falagar112 can the berserker version of this build be good with this setup?
scorching ray > cast while channeling > elemental focus > cold to fire > conc effect > fire pen I wanted to play this as witch but i was thinking since berserker already have a 1% and the savage hit from ascendancy plus the 2% from warlords mark, maybe this setup will work better instead of doing it on a witch replacing the conc effect to cold to fire. |
