[2.5] CI Witch Scorching Ray CWC Whispering Ice - Version 2.0 Released - Now with more damage!

Thanks for the reply! I'll start looking seriously for a chest. I may give you a shout if I don't see anything better. Definitely seems like a good option.

You should really get either stun enchant on boots or go for unwavering stance - stun deaths are a thing when you start doing t15+, if you want to push your level a bit, being stun immune will save you a lot of frustration and lost xp :)

Don't underestimate the route to unwavering stance, it is a LOT of INT (another jewel to convert) in that route. If you don't want to spend a lot of money on the enchant and/or farm it yourself, I would definitely consider doing so.

Yeah, I'm most heavily considering trying to get the boot enchant. I've considered unwavering stance pretty seriously, but I'm not sure I'm totally sold on it. How do you find your damage with the higher int + defensive instead of offensive curses?

I also admit that the part of me that likes big numbers is looking forward to breaking 10k ES, which I know I couldn't feasibly do going down to US.

I've been running with Cast when Stunned + Immortal Call (instead of CwDT) + a Granite of Steadiness, and that works fairly well for the time being. The CwDT setup definitely got me killed a couple times, cause it wasn't good enough.

"
If you add a third defensive curse, use a black sun crest, INT = everything this build needs.

I actually briefly owned a BSC (a 14% one). With the way my gear was at the time (pretty close to what it is now, really), I was only gaining about 80 int, which didn't feel worth losing the ~1000 ES. Probably worth revisiting once I get some stuff fixed up, though.

Thanks a lot for the reply! That gives me some good direction, I think.

Latest version is actually using Orb of Storms in place of Ice Nova (for manually placing against bosses, rogues, etc). That said, if you're not proccing often, try lowering the level of your CwDT. I'd recommend level 3 max--that's what I have and it procs quite often.

I do admit my golems die fairly often, especially in Breaches, but I haven't found it to be the end of the world. There's not really much extra room for other links, is what I've found, unfortunately.
Hey, been using this build a bit and so far its a blast, just have a real dumb question to ask.

What does BSC stand for? I see the abbreviation thrown around but have no idea what it means.

I'ma do this quick and go sleep - if I miss anything ask again and I'll get to it tomorrow :)

Higher INT vs Offensive curses - higher int wins on map clear speed for sure - and of course it is saver. On Shaper/Uber Atziri and everything actually hard, your enfeeble + temp chains make life very easy. My temp chains+enhance setup gives 47% slow, this including boss animations, making everything a lot easier to dodge.

The extra int makes my tooltip dps go above 12k buffed now - i was never able to get those numbers before :)

Nobody stops you from using flammability + temp chains either, it is same color, swap depending on what content you are doing :)

I died 5 times from 92 to 93 because of stuns - then i respecced and haven't really died anymore since, i'm now 10% away from 96. Spec and try, you will be happy with it I think.

As for total ES - I am at 9k ES with the gear i linked, so with an actual good chest (850+) you should be able to get above 10k even with this setup with black sun crest.

That said... with enfeeble/temp chains and granite+basalt.. shaper smash hits for under 6k, it is really a safe build like this!

edit: most of my stun deaths before respeccing, was from those silly lightning breaches orb of storms stunlocks, something that your immortal call doesnt protect you against!

unwavering stance makes you immune to those stuns too... that alone was reason enough for me :D

You make some convincing arguments, ha. I'll look into it some more.

Thanks again!

(also, your chest is looking pretty nice after some market research, so I may reach out in game. :) )

I've had a really fun time leveling this char I'm 62 now and I also did it as mostly es and didn't have too hard of a time leveling it in softcore. I think I found a solution to generating endurance charges there's a jewel named the red dream that if you have a passive with fire resist near it then you gain that much of a chance to gain a charge on kill, though this is a pretty expensive solution so it'd probably be in the best in slot item. Let me know what you think and if this would work thanks :)

Warlords mark generates the endurence charges so should not really need it.
so if i lower my cwdt to level 3 it will just level again im a bit of a newbie
also i was going to use orb of storms but it says you can only cast it directly
