Hey, I recently made a new character and I'm using this build, currently on 7.1k ES with Discipline and dual wielding The Scourge, Herald of Ash and Hatred, however I've had to take the Charisma nodes and the 4% reduced mana reserved near CI to be able to run these. I was wondering if it would be worth dropping the nodes and running a curse instead (I have Witchfire Brew so no need for Vulnerability) or using the points in other passives and get rid of Hatred?

Currently running on a 5L until I can afford an ES 6L, any advice is appreciated! Thanks.

I don't know why you guys focus on those auras, do everything to run Hatred + Disc + Ash. How could you maintain your power charge? Or just reach maximum 6 charges then lost it then generate them again? You lost a tonne of dmg for doing that. How about just keep your maximum critical chance with 5 or 6 power charge, they give you 85-90% or even more critical chance, and with 85% chance to hit, you almost on your highest DPS permanently. With those setup without Skyforth, you can't maintain your power charge, you only have 10% to gain power charge on non-crit hit but when you're at 3-4 power charge up it very hard to gain more power charge to maximum your DPS and when you reach maximum power charge 99% you can't maintain it, it'll lost unless you hit a ton of mobs. And I believe my dmg mostly come from critical strike because I'm using Abyssus so I find anyways to keep my power charge always up to get maximum benefit from Abyssus not from flat dmg.

For skill tree improve. IMO, I'll take jews slot and drop down +1 charge to get another jews. Refunds 4 points of Charisma, take Will of Blades and Sleight of Hand. Run Disc + Ash + Assassin's Mark (this combo I did Abyss T15 2 bosses, deathless). Check your character stats, improve your weakness, don't follow the setup or the guide, you fix yourself wherever you feel bad. For Ex. If you have 87-90% crit chance when maximum power charge then 20-30% crit chance from tree or gears doesn't give you more crit chance as you expect so find another stats that you feel bad like accuracy (recommend at least 85% hit chance) or some dmg. If you feel a way too soft then pick up defensive combo Immortal Call + Cast when dmg taken + Increased duration. You want to increase your dmg, try Wither totem + Spell totem + Faster casting + Increased duration, or simply put Fortify to your Whirling Blade setup. If you don't like Assassin's Mark then replace by Vulnerability, drop your Witchfire brew pick up Basalt for more defensive.

And again yeah, that is my opinion and in my case, it works :). Try many different ways and choose your what you like. Have fun!

Thanks you so much for the input and help, I'm pretty new to PoE (started backend of Breach League and tried a few builds for Legacy), so I'm still learning, especially when it comes to CI.

I'll try dropping Charisma nodes + Hatred and try running Assassin's Mark or Vulnerability and dropping Witchfire and see what I feel comfortable with.

Once again, thanks for the input!
Awesome build, playing it atm in Legacy. I'm melting everything with meh gear (but I own scourge+voidheart obviously). Love you dude. The gearing is expensive AF btw, but... very very solid build. Nice f'n job.
But I got one question:
What about AoE increased dmg in Jewelery? I mean I got some jewels like:
15% Minion dmg
8% Ele res
11% AoE dmg.
It would be better to have Attack Speed or something else instead of AoE DMG? (Even if I'm close to 430% AS at towns?)

Thanks for sharing!

PS: I level up with viper strike following your tree (bosses) and some other projectiles skills (Spectral throw or frost blades for fast clearing) w/o troubles, you prolly want to say this for the newbies/budget build.
PS2: Eye of chayula is mandatory IMO while you save for the boots (so, jewellery with ele res is VERY good and VERY cheap, even with +15% minion dmg).

is the bf-mele physical-mele on full life-fa-void mani-inc aoe better than the inc critical strikes version ? and how do u manage to do hard bosses with the abyssus since u take a lot of more dmg with it ?
I feel like I've hit a damage wall. Where can I get more?

The rest of the tree for me is very much just survivability.
I've been leveling with this build and I feel like I'm dying quite a lot, to the point where it is slowing my leveling down considerably. I've been reading a lot of this thread in an effort to understand what's wrong but I figure someone might be able to see quicker than me.

My tree:

I spent some regret to play around with going CI; I only got to around 2k ES and ~700 tooltip dps on blade flurry with hatred and discipline. I also felt like I couldn't leech fast enough to offset the damage I was receiving. I've tried CI builds before and I often ran into this problem at the same point (levels 50-55)

I switched back to tabula rasa because I felt like the only way to keep moving forward was to use the damage boost from the 6L was nicer than the ES I got from a 4L chest.

Is there something I'm totally missing or not understanding? This game is so cool but the depth and complexity can be confusing at times. Thanks! :)

Do you think I should sell the ES stuff I have and get life until ~70? I feel like I'm in an awkward spot right now and I'd like to get a better game plan before I spent more regret messing around with the tree

just hit life nodes along the way and grab whatever es/ev gear you find to hold you over you shouldnt really worry about gear until ~70 then when you are able to hit that ~4-5k es just fully swap over dont bother selling stuff that you'll be able to use later but if you cant use it later sell it.
