2.4.2 Effect Artifact / Disco Inferno

Hey guys, no news to report right now but did want to jump in and say that we're certainly aware of this issue and are working on finding a fix. Many users report that using --noasync or switching to DX9 / DX9Ex causes this problem to no longer occur. While these are temporary workarounds, they should help out for now until we get a proper fix in place.

Thanks for all of the details reports everyone - they've been very helpful.

Thanks you for the update, it's good to know we've not been forgotten. I sincerely hope a solution is found soon, as the DX9 clients are, for me, unusable now (no idea what changed) and the --noasync only reduces the frequency of the 'glitches', I still have to restart the game every hour or so.

If there is anything specific you need to help resolve this issue (screen shots, video, hardware\driver info, etc.) don't hesitate to ask the community for it. We will provide.

Thank you for the response as well. Now we can settle down a bit and wait for a fix.

P.S. DX9 and DX9Ex have their own issues as well that you are also hopefully aware of. I've had 70%+ drops in framerate in some instances ( Like fighting Dominus in the rain dropped my FPS from 70+ to around 12)
Please, graphical glitches have been occuring since the dirextx11. I have played poe for years and never had any of these happen before so i can only assume that its due to this although i am in no way a proffesional :). Could we possibly get an update on this issue as it is affecting many poeple including myself and can only assume others as well. Thank you GGG for your amazing work and dedication to this game and keep up the amazing vision!

Hey, thanks for letting us know at least, much appreciated!
Still seeing this issue after a month. Happens after zoning a few times. Is there a fix or status update?

They removed it from the high priority known issues, so I hope there's a fix ready for the next patch, probably next week.

I HAD TO FIGHT A PHYS DAMAGE BOSS AND A BREACH AT THE SAME TIME WITH AN ABYSSUS ALMOST DIED
CHRIS WILSON IF YOU WANT ME TO BUY MORE STASH TABS YOU BETTER FIX THIS NOW

Had this issue happening twice on the t13 Lair map. So there could be something related to that map.

Only happens in dx11. I use --waitforpreload and it doesn't seem to have any effect. Will try --noasync.
Using a r9 270x 2gb on win7 x64.

Got a bunch of screenshots to show but it's the same as everyone else so there is little point. Disco effects, partially or fully covering the screen making it harder/impossible to see anything.

Can we get an update on this? It has disappeared from the known issues list, but the problem is still occurring.
