2.4.2 Effect Artifact / Disco Inferno
You're going to run into more and more issue with Win7 as time moves on.
And in 3 years you won't even get security updates anymore. I don't like Windows either, but consider an upgrade and use external tools (like ShutUp10) to disable/re-enable whatever you need. Perception is reality.

While I don't have these issues DX11 is still unplayable for me, 0 FPS during Dominus blood rain phase (screen literally freezes when blood rain starts and resumes when blood rain ends), random drops to <5 FPS etc, running i7 6700k@4.5GHz with a GTX 1070 and Win10 64bit.
Has been this way since DX11 was introduced to the game and is still happening, made a post about it in this forum when I found out and turned out I wasn't alone, but still no fix. Really hoping DX11 support is fixed in 3.0 |

Let me put this into perspective. When DX11 for POE was new I ran it even though the disco was REALLY annoying and frequent. But it still beat playing at 5fps, so I stuck with it. Came here to tell you that the frequency of this happening has dropped from every 5 minutes or so to ONCE in an entire evening of POE playing (if that). So this is now indeed *mostly* fixed, but as others have stated it still very very rarely still happens. While obviously still a thing, the severity/priority of this bug is now reduced as its tolerable.

Just an update over here. With the loadings issue i had to turn off --noasync. While there's no issue in DX9 as i was used to play, i started playing in DX11 to give a try to the new dynamic rendering resolution. So far so good, but the bug we talk in this thread came back apparently. In the Caerr unique map Zana opened in a Jungle Valley map. It was making all the screen +/- black. It occured in some places of the map when i was cycloning in some wolfs. I didn't catch it in a screenshot, without mobs it didn't seem to occur but it needs more testing.
NB : Engine multi-threading was enabled here. Edit : I had it several times since, always while attacking in mobs with cyclone. Last edited by Harest#1598 on Aug 8, 2017, 12:03:46 AM

Cf. previous message, here's a screenshot. On a reroll this time, without attacking. At a precise place.
Edit : A less intensive artifact i just got : each time i took a portal from ashen wood, a new blue sparkling line would be displayed in the hideout. From one to six. Unfortunately i don't have any good screenshot but we still see it on some of the screenshots. Last edited by Harest#1598 on Aug 12, 2017, 4:45:42 PM

" Hey, I just wanted to log in to say I have just had the same, exact thing in my hideout. Identical. Here's a screenshot: Direct link for a bigger pic: https://puu.sh/xjc8R/920b835777.png It's a shame that after so long we still have disco inferno stuff going on. It was even worse in the Abyssal Depths. Good thing i'm not epileptic, i'd be dead. It was flickering blue on all the screen. Video settings :
