Grimdawn vs poe ? ( tying to find " tha game " )
Grim Dawn always felt cheap and slow in the same way that Titan's Quest did for me. That said, if you liked TQ, you'll probably enjoy GD.

Grim Dawn is a good game and I enjoyed my playthroughs, but it lacks the social/trade elements of PoE and also does not provide a cheat free environment (character and inventory saves are clientside).
It's still great for single player or with friends, I totally recommend picking it up. |

As a hack&slay fan: Play both! :-)
Grim Dawn is a great game, a lot of things are like Titan Quest, it´s the unofficial successor of it. There´s an addon coming this year, really looking forward to it! Große deutsche Community mit TS, Forum und Infos gesucht? -> http://www.exiled.eu/

Grim dawn is what I wanted from PoE to be in some cases:
- little bit slower progress of game and that kinda strange feeling the world ingame actually exists - more items on character (PANTS!!!) - nice damage mechanics (decay for every single damage type, bleeding, burning, poison is just not enough) |

" I wasnt the guy who has been playing it for 3500. Its quote bud :). I for myself played it for 300h. Im not into that modding thing, cuz i prefer HC. And ppl, tbh (most of 'em), now shit about balancing it properly. I played it for fun 3 times through the 3 difficulty, 'cuz story and treasure hunting is nice. But whats the point of playing mods ? Its an own created environment, which has only the frame of the game. I could also play a pen 'n paper game a la Shadowrun, which would give me the same feeling. But like i also sai: Its worth the 25 bucks. Its a good game with decent amount of content. Welcome to the greatest of arenas, Duelist. God is watching you.

GD is boring. Same quests, same locations, same mobs. Everything is the same as it was. First gameplay is fun - experiencing the "new" and "unknown" but after first playthrought it gets... boring.
At least for me it was. I like hns but very few on market gets me for longer that 20 hours. IMHO Inceridle Adventures of Van Hellsing is way more interesting game, due to lore and humor and ;) creators made in game. But Final Cut on mechanics of 3rd part ruined that game. Still worth to play for the experience of all things despite mechanics but still... |

I like both games.
PoE is more about breaking the game (find the super ultra combo that triple dips your movement speed while shortcutting 3 different types of mitigation into your dps rotation with 1 button. Which is fun, can't deny it.) GD is more about playing along the game (slower paced, balanced, accessible, staying in predefined boundaries). These are of course grossly inflated traits for both game. You can still be original in GD and stop playing PoE when you reach lvl 70. But some truth remains behind it. |

Grimdawn is nowhere near PoE in anything - complexity, endgame, loot, grind, possibilities, skills, etc. etc. But it's still great ARPH, probably even #2 ARPG after Path of Exile.

" And then there are people like me who think the opposite. I'd rate Grim Dawn above PoE in all those. You should check out the Grim Dawn Game Guide. My top 3 ARPG's are Sacred, Grim Dawn and Titan Quest. Ascension tied to Lab is the worst thing GGG has done...apart from GGG's philosophy on Trading. Oh and Gambling Loot boxes. And selling out to tencent.
I used to love GGG. I supported to ensure GGG remained independent, now I just wish I could get my money back. -_- |
