Grimdawn vs poe ? ( tying to find " tha game " )

Hi all if anyone has played grimdawn did you like it ?

I really like poe in general but honestly the last death of my highest leveled character killed the game for me with the latest double xp nerfing patches . I have grinded and grinded so much in this game .

What i am sick and tired of in poe is :

1. loot never is good ( maybe i find a good item in a year playtime or so ) , i wanna be able to find stuff for myself in a reasonable time invested into the game . Though i like trading but when the game's items is so much designed into trading in mind and this affect the drop rates of fun items , this is imo not very good or/and fun design . I mean farming dried lake for alteration orb is not very interesting to me . I am not taking about the droprates of d3 because that is just too easy and casual but in poe it is simply not fun for me anymore . Poe atm just reminds me of d3 ah time years ago ( didn't like it ) . Poe atm farm for orbs to buy a good item for each itemslot , save up for 1 itemslot and then save up for the next itemslot . This is exactly the same game as d3 vanilla was when it comes to items . I completely get it for the " hardcore players " that like it this way but for me this is simply too slow . When i play a game i wanna be able to play/try most builds the game can offer me , this is something poe cant do for me ( too expensive and you dont find anything yourself ).

2. 1 shots mechanics . I get it the best players like it this way , for me it is not fun . I build my characters defensively , doesnt matter , boom you're dead anyway .

3. xp . this is a big annoyance imo , the nerfing of xp . I had plans to level my main hero to 100 , but i have given up on this ( my friends never though that i was to give this up but ...) . For those that say the game ends at level 90 , for me it doesn't its that simple . I wanna build a kick ass hero = level 100 imo . Maybe its because i am a completionist in games ( min - max ) . a level 90 hero is imo a unfinsihed build . People have different opinions of this and that's fine . The xp on death is also something i dont like , its just too much on a high level hero , its probably like 20-30 % or so compared to before on a high level hero ( too extreme for me to find this fun and reasonable ) .

4. the crafting . I dont even wanna call it crafting but instead gambling and its too expensive imo to craft a cool item . Crafting is fun but when its so much rng like in poe , no thanks .

A coule of stuff i wonder about grim dawn :

1. how is the multiplayer game play ( 2 player is enough for the most part ) ?
2. How is the game performance ? ( i know its also a offline mode but when i wanna do a multiplayer game , is it a stable server for it ?
3. If i can play poe in a stable way ( for the most part ) how is grim dawn in comparisson . In general what i mean , if i can play poe with no problems can my pc most likely be able to play grim dawn ?
4. the combat : pretty important imo , how is it . I have seen videos and it looks a bit slower than poe .
5. the loot , is it higher chance to find fun items in grimdawn compared to poe ( lol most likely ).
6. trading , how does it work if it is any ? is it a ah for example ?
7. crafting ? is it made in a good way ? ( not too much rng )
8. compexity . I have seen videos and it looks to be almost like poe . Interesting skill tree with double classes , though the skill tree in poe is very good .

In general its also another game named : Wolcen that looks to be a really good game in the near future . Maybe even better than both poe and grimdawn , hard to say at this point , but it looks to be a potential contender for the goat arpg imo if its a serious game company .

thanks exiles , hope some of you know a bit to be helpful :)
have a nice day :)

Grimdawn is an amazing game like straight up flawless that's all I'm going to say to it. You will be shat on though just like poE if you don't make a proper char.

nice :)

character building is part of the fun so no problemo .
have around 200 hours in grim dawn, it is like titan quest 2.5, but still can't beat poe.

It is solid game on its own, but it is too slow, i feel like playing on game speed 0.5 in it. If there was no poe, that would be next arpg game for me to play.
Spreading salt since 2006
Grim Dawn is a really good game.

But no matter what ARPG we talk about, PoE will beat it on build customization and itemization.
Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.

Played it a quite a bit. Builds are, sadly, pretty similar to one another. You get bunch of auras/activated effects, leech, life. It has pretty amazing number of resistances and types of damage, but overall it gets lost in lack of more in-depth mechanics like PoE's. Honestly, I got bored after finishing my first character.

Also, if you expect anything else in end-game... well, you'll be disappointed. :p Grim Dawn's end game is almost as one-shotty as PoE's (a little bit less, tho). Unless you have god-like defenses, leech and all other sort of stuff, you're gonna get almost-one-shot by many end-game bosses. Not saying that I enjoy this kind of cheesy way of mixing mechanical flaws, but Grim Dawn haven't done it much better.

Yep same, it's a fun alternative to PoE for a while but lacks the depth imo.
Give it a try. Games hit a very personal need. Most people can't understand why we like PoE. That's because they're triggered by different mechanisms than we are. That's ok. That's why we have different games. You wont know until you try it.
Try out Torchlight II - after Diablo II best arpg. Grim Dawn imho is mediocre game.
Grimdawn is an awesome game with really good mechanics and builds possibilities, and is very fun, the only problem is the very old multiplayers system in the game, devs should evolve in that aspect and make it like PoE, would definitely increase the player base and makes it more fun, but the campaing is worth for itself, just can't play it for long as PoE.
