What's coming in 0.9.6?

I hope that the "notable" passives will get some sort of highlight in the passives tree, to distinguish them from run-of-the-mill passives. Keystones are appropriately and loudly highlighted, perhaps a small halo around these new ones to set them apart?

I think I speak for many in not wanting to have to scrutinize the entire tree over and over to find these goodies.
Good that the sound bug will be fixed, it's pretty annoying bug.
Does that make shock nova useless now or how exactly is it changed? sounds like it got weaker to me.

Agreed. They are so called 'notable' passives, they should notably stand out.

Yes, they have their own look - them being visible is a part of the point of them.
just wondering if one can apply for an alpha invite.
Faerwin: Short answer.. no.

Long answer: Whenever GGG adds more members to the alpha group, they usually ask existing alpha members for suggestions. I think the last new folks were added.. 2 months ago? I may be wrong.

A good idea to add some fire/lightning spells in the game, coz atm there 5 cold spells (and no normal skill damage groups for them) and only 2 fire and 3 for lightning.

Something like Infernal beam - channeling fire damage per second ability, Fire armor - selfbuff increasing fire damage and ignite enemys when being hit, Chain lightning - ability with increasing number of bounces on skill gem level, Frost armor - selfbuff increasing armor and chills enemys when being hit, Storm - selfbuff which strikese a thunder on random nearby enemy each 3 sec and has a chance to release a spark from target enemy travels at random direction. And lots And lots more, i has thousands of ideas for dat pretty game.

do you think it's a good idea to put your thoughts in this thread instead of "Suggestions" forum?
I do hope this new monster class will be better scaled than the ones they implemented last time within the 'Pyramid'...
I gave up even attempting playing Maelstrom whenever those are present within the level.

I think it means shock nova is now "shock donut". No damage in the inner ring but the outer ring is the same damage throughout the "donut" area (ie no scaling as before).

Should have virtually the same average damage, u just don't have to work as hard getting mobs exactly on the outer edge. Oh and you better not try it with mobs right on top of you, which before might provide a little damage, now it would do nada.
