[outdated] King of the Forest (Crit version)

what about the unique helm obscurantis? 300-500 accuracy rating and 1% projectile dmg increase for every 200 accuracy?

if movement speed is no issue and we wanted some dps, how does this stack up vs rats?
Shitysushi - Arrow shooting build.
Sendeliriante - hollow palmer
Love the build!!! Quick question though, im 91 and not sure what to spend points on, proj damage or skill effect duration. I have access to life nodes, but not really bothered about dieing atm, just want the damage. So the 16% ranger proj dmg node, or the skill duration cluster with exceptional performance?

Im not 100% clear on the poison duration mechanics, some say its op.

Thanks

couple mroe questions. with noxious strike why are snakebites even needed? with the speed that attacks land it will be 1-2seconds before enemies/bosses are poisoned anyways? when i am running around i find charges hard to keep up sometimes with full timer.... let alone greatly reduced one.

You can stack multiple instances of poison, it isn't like bleed or ignite where only one is active. The whole point of the build is to use Barrage/Lightning Arrow with a lot of +arrows to stack a bunch of poison instances on enemies. Without a 100% chance to poison on hit, you lose a massive amount of damage from this, especially vs single target, where the poison stacks are doing a lot of the work.

anyone playing this build at LHC how good is at red maps?

I just hit level 90 playing this build in LHC - this is what I had for gear:

Levels 68-88 I was using lightning arrow along with death's opus, but the lack of accuracy on my gear and only 3 arrows made the playstyle feel a lot less satisfying - switched at 88 to lioneye's glare + split arrow and really wish that I had done so sooner.

Shaped strand is very easy to do but the clear speed is as you might expect from a split arrow build - there are definitely builds that can clear it faster just due to how the build works mechanically.

Next upgrades for this build would probably be a 6L for single target or split arrow depending on what you're going for, then chaos damage % or flat on jewelry to improve the dps.

I've currently had no close calls on the build, but I tend to do only safe maps (only one damage mod at a time, sticking to farmable maps such as shaped strand). If you're worried about safety but want to be able to do higher level content, there is a very similar build that I have seen that drops kotf for koams heart and uses a 6L lioneye's glare for all its single target. If I were to try and push into more difficult maps, that is the way that I would likely go, but your movement speed will go down drastically if you go that route.

Hits can't be evaded is never a problem. I re-roll physical damage maps, but if you really wanted to do them you can use the Dyadian Dawn belt. Physical reflect rares deal very minimal damage, as almost all scaling occurs on the chaos portion of the damage.

I still regen hp with blood rage active with my current stats. I can't imagine trying to play the build in HC without using blood rage, one of the most annoying parts of this build is actually how mechanically intense it can get, and one less thing to pay attention to is fine. I use frenzy as my single target as lioneye's glare doesn't give additional arrows and it's easier than having to alternate between using a regular single target skill and occasionally hitting with frenzy to keep charges up when fighting bosses.

passive tree

Death's opus is really great, and you can use split arrow with it just fine - I just did not like how bad my accuracy felt going into tier 9 and above maps and preferred to use lioneye's for the benefits it provides instead. If I could get my hands on a legacy reach, I'm fairly sure that that would be much better as then you have an effective gmp LA and very strong barrage.
ok ty btw why not phase acrobatic? also how much evasion and life do you got?

and what make lioneye's glare much better then Death's Opus ?

Phase acrobatics costs 4 points - I skip it for the same reason it's skipped in the FAQ on page one - just costs too many passive points and many spells can be manually dodged by moving your character instead

I don't really think lioneye's glare is better than death's opus, it just takes a lot less investment to use lioneye's over opus and for what I currently am doing I'm not really having issues.
