[outdated] King of the Forest (Crit version)

Will any other quivers be a replacement to Drillneck with the changes? or is it still going to be the best?
I'm interested in playing this in Legacy... will I be able to follow the original build guide for this or did stuff change in patch? This will be my second league so I'm fairly new and don't want to play something that won't hold up endgame
I worked out this skill tree with the new data: https://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree/AAAABAYBAAHRAdwDHgUtBbUHmQzyDY0QkhEvFCAWvx9BIXYj0yP2JP0mlSoLKlsrCjB8MfoyMjWSNj051EMxQzZHfkp9TI5M_02STipQR1FHUuxVS1WFVvpZ8FuvXfJfP2HiYqxlTWqMbIxvO3BScbB07XXLdvd343gNeWh59nrvfXV_K4SihNmGzod2idOMNo19jX6Nv52qoJ-hIqJAotmly6fUqKKpbqr4r-uw2LTFtUi18re2u-O8b702vqfAGsEEwTPB2MLsxKLIFMjw037UI9ZY2L3ZhtrB51TqYutj7g7vDu969Pj1b_zF_rr-yP_e

I took a few more damage nodes since it'll be my league starter and I personally prefer damage over life to start, but it's easily adjusted to a more tanky setup. This is also intended for a level 90 character.

Honestly, the tree for this build didn't change very much at all if you're just trying to recreate the tree linked in the OP.
This https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/5wzkxa/lioneyes_fall_viridian_jewel_gets_a_hefty_buff_in/ might be something to look into to get this build redone and stronger with the bow and quiver nerf.
Are you going to update your guide since we got the new tree already?

Will update the guide on thursday ! rip reach but deaths opus is a more than potent replacement. drillneck nerf is harsh but i think it will be covered by a more efficient passive tree so dont worry !

First paragraph of OP
Hey guys, I'm curious how highly you value life regen for this build? Playing around with the new talent tree, and I could trade ~85 life regen for 7k evasion, which nets +16% movement speed.

you leech life and have instant hp flask(s)

that should answer the question.
I was able to mess around with the 2.6 skill tree for a few hours and I feel confident I was able to incorporate a tree with better and more efficient pathing for both dps and defense.
Note - I dropped the frenzy charge for more life/easier poison management.

We gain 45% skill duration, which is huge for poison/utility and the new and improved Aspect of the Eagle which is 20% damage with bows. Awesome.

I tried the claw nodes with the Lionseye Fall gem

If you want to drop ~20% life you can pick up those nodes and all of the claw crit / crit multi on the right side of the tree which possibly allows you to drop the Diamond Flask for an Atziri's Promise and Sin's Rebirth?

This looks like enough to recoup the damage lost with Drillneck and maybe even ROTC?

Outstretching to the marauder area seemed wasteful. The amount of points spent isn't worth it.
Going to the right side instead gives us more evasion and % resists with Sentinel on top of the duration.

Even without getting the skill duration going this path still leads to more efficient point usage, allowing you to experiment more with jewel nodes or the claw/crit passives and life/evasion.

Vaal pact is tantalizingly close however I feel that this build is only truly susceptible to one shot mechanics. Reflect is a non issue.

Thoughts?

Hey guys, plenty work to do on my job, lol, played with the new passive tree a little and I came up with this Passive Tree, went for a fair % of life, focused on getting jewels, and I want to try the "new" buffed claw nodes using Lioneye's Fall.
Gear wise I'm planning to go for Death Opus + "nerfed" Drillneck trying to get +1 arrow, and using LMP instead of Inc Crit Strikes gem on LA, and on Barrage ill trade Inc Crit Strikes for Void Man.

Cheers, looking for any type of feedback.
