WTF is this labyrinth BS????

Lab it's lame, awful, but necessary, this league I only will do till merciless, don't even bother for Uber Lab.

In fact i'm hating the lab so much that i'm considering leaving this game for good.

It doesn't sound like he's mad about dying to a strong box, but simply to the penalty involved when inside the labyrinth. ANY death in the labyrinth forces you to start the entire thing over again. This gets very frustrating. Hardcore players probably just laugh since they lose their entire character when this happens...

And it's not limited to just deaths in the labyrinth, any disconnection caused by internet instability, crashing client, crashing instance on server, any of those can cause you to restart the entire thing over again.

This is the issue, not death to a strongbox, and I agree that it's frustrating and I'd say a poorly designed game element for a game like this.

Yes, there was no real way to avoid being surrounded, but there sure as hell was a way to avoid dying. People open up strongboxes without dying all the time, there's nothing special about it.

And yes, you would have probably died in the final fight with Izaro. Why? Cause you're (still) not good at the game. You will learn in time provided you'll choose to learn from your mistakes instead of raging.


No, i would have died because i didnt had the gear and the levels.

Try to think "outside the box" (smart comment ehhh :D)...

There are plenty of skills around that make opening boxes a lot safer. I myself use lightning warp at lvl 1 purely to open boxes. Casting it gives a small delay before executing. In that time I can open a box, and be teleported out right away.

Just because something seems unfair or too hard, doesn't mean it actually is. To me this is one of the strongest points of PoE. For every obstacle, there actually is a solution. You just need to figure out what works for you.


It is unfair that they make you restart, thats the whole point of their "feature".
It's as goofy as possible. Can't disagree! :)

Reasons why lab sucks for me:

- walk walk and walk, big maps with no content.
- no real content in this maps like quests, real lore (not that lol text-tables)
- GGG seems so uninspired they repeat the boss fight 3 times. again no content
- players are FORCED to play hardcore
- lab can be very long for new players and theres no break (afk in lab is possible)
- lab is too hard for new players. they play it and get a "fck u u wont get your points"

I dont know any numbers but I guess there are alot players with not THAT great build or
currency GGG should not risk to lose this players lol, that would be very stupid.

Problem is those ascendancy points are so powerful its a big constraint for all to get this
asap. Force->stress->new player->frustration->player leaves POE


Even old and faithful players left the game after they introduced this, you just need to look at google and most results show people hate this crap.

If old players can leave the game knowing they will lose their stuff and time, a new player will say "fuck this" without remorse.

32 if i remember correctly, and not normal mobs, yellow mobs that spawned from a box, they were not hard per se but being surrounded being raped by every one of them at the same time was what killed my character.
