Particle Effect Optimisations in 2.4.0
Microsoft Windows XP Professional (5.1)
Intel(R) Pentium(R) Dual CPU E2200 @ 2.20Ghz (2 CPUs) 3328MB RAM DirectX 9.0c NVIDIA GeForce GT 730 (2048 MB) ....Would this change affect me at all? (better or worse?)
Spoiler
Right now i can fairly play btw. Usually goes with 60 fps, huge crowd of multi color mobs (yellow, purple, etc) huge amount of particles and stuff, or just anything labyrinth related takes it down below 30 fps.. when its totally overwhelmed by mobs and things it could even go down to 10 fps.. but almost never freeze and i can run a bit away and it goes fine.
Rainy areas or anything water related takes more time to load completely when arriving on the map for the first time (its about to 10-30 seconds at max tho) Traps and ground related things are always the worst in this case as ive seen so far. Also opening boxes sometimes gives a "deadly" freeze about to 1-3 seconds. But usually the game goes fine for me. Better than any other games ive ever played! |

" Yes. Instead of one of your miserably weak CPU cores, it will use both of them. And ofc it supports SSE2. So that should help a little bit. |

Wow! Just checked ark.intel.com and discovered I've the AVX instruction set :)!! That's luck since I've bought my laptop exactly in 2011 :)!! Very good news!! Can't wait to test these optimization!!
