Performance Improvements in 2.3.3

Not sure if someone already said it before but.... Wouldn’t it be nice to have the option to enable that graph that shows details of the performance in the live realm game?

just to be able to see what's wrong with your PC in case this optimization is not enough.

In my case I'm running POE in linux using wine and I think it does the translation of DirectX matrixes to OpenGL so it can run on linux, and I do not know how much CPU that takes (after all that is something else to take into account).

Also not sure of the status of DX11 on wine, hope it works... (fingers crossed!)
so... getting rid of traps or what? (or labs altogether)
Can't wait to revive unplayable builds on my garbage PC. Awesome !

So... any idea when it comes out?

Did you even watch the video?... Maybe you should do that and listen carefully >.<
Performance improvements is great! It can be painful to play a build where there's a ton of stuff going on at the same time.

I would delay the performance update until after Windows 10 Redstone is released on Augest 2nd so you can check for issues with that version of Windows 10 so you can fit fixes in for that O/S within your schedule.

Screen shake in 99% of games is simply jiggling the camera (offsetting the map position/moving the viewpoint position), its pretty much a 'free' effect that doesnt incur a performance cost.

Nothing is "free" in the graphics pipeline. This adds to the simulation that must be done, even if it's just a small amount. The rendered area might be larger than the screen, and then it might not depending upon how their engine is working. If they have to render more outside the screen to enable camera shake, then yes, it's a decent amount of overhead. You don't know much about rendering or the graphics pipeline, do you? They probably just maxed settings to show the greatest amount of performance difference in single vs multi-threading.

That said, I dislike camera shake and always disable it. However, I do like reverb to get a similar effect with audio instead of graphics.

I have an old Core i7 920. It has 4 cores, but hyper-threading for 8 threads. This will certainly help me a lot when the effects start to fly! I don't normally have any issues since I run a GTX 680, but always some slow down when a lot on the screen at once. I was planning on upgrading my gaming rig this year any ways, so this will definitely get me to go with a 4 or 6 core CPU. Perhaps a new Skylake Core i7-6700K?

GGG, will Intel's hyper-threading help here compared to the same CPU with hyper-threading disabled?

You see these badges?
Expect them to grow more.
You guys are simply amazing.
You could have said "Fuck it" like most games, but you never have, and in return, I pledge my wallet to you!

Indeed. I'm just as impressed with this, and have the same general thought: 'GGG could have said screw it like most developers/publishers, but instead actually spent time improving their engine'.
New CPU's and Motherboards are coming out later this year, I'd wait before taking the plunge for new hardware. The new motherboards will offer greater compatibility for simultaneous multiple high performance SSD's without the performance of them decreasing (Current motherboards tend to struggle with 2 or more SSD's and a high end video card).
Computer specifications:
Windows 10 Pro x64 | AMD Ryzen 5800X3D | ASUS Crosshair VIII Hero (WiFi) Motherboard | 16GB 3600MHz RAM | MSI Geforce 1070Ti Gamer | Corsair AX 760watt PSU | Samsung 860 Pro 512GB SSD & WD Black FZEX HDD

A Z170 chipset, LGA 1151 socket board is what I was looking at for Intel Skylake CPUs. Are you saying that another Intel Z chipset is to be released by the end of the year? I was planning on purchasing the components to build a new system in December. I'll get the case in October so I have some time to mod it first. Looking towards Micro ATX form factor.

Here's my Newegg wishlist so far: https://secure.newegg.com/WishList/PublicWishDetail.aspx?WishListNumber=22202854. Feel free to PM any advice. I build computers both professionally and personally, but a second set of eyes is always welcome. :-)

I mean it is about time. I have contacted your support team multiple times about these issues and clearly pointed out that the hardware is not actually being fully utilised. I cannot believe you made me go through so much troubleshooting while you knew about the CPU utilisation. Apparently, it was an issue on my side!? With the latest hardware on the market.... Are you joking....? I have invested quite a bit of money in the game to keep it going and all this time you were withholding information? I am truly disappointed in a way and I am somehow glad you are finally addressing this issue.

The main focus of the game mechanics today is party oriented but you cannot play in a party due to the optimisation problems, go figure... Why did you nerf auras if your game does not support party play styles? This is just an example, I don't care about nerfs, the point being I can't freaking play in a group with a beast machine.....

Just fix it...
