Haven't really ever commented on lab, but I hate it.

+1 to OP

The 3 "old" labs were annoying, but OK for the points. But the end game trials are a seriously annoying fuckup. Trap gauntlets several screens long, some unavoidable traps and switch after switch after switch... Honestly, I love the game, but whoever decided that more lab is better really has a very different game in mind than I do. And a very different game than POE used to be.

I know it's just an opinion, but I really hate the lab. Traps have their place in fantasy games, but I think they are no fun in such density. Can't we just get smaller trap gauntlets occasionally in any area?

Also, the game engine is simply not good/bugfree enough for this content.
May your maps be bountiful, exile
GGG thinks because you played it, you love it. Otherwise you would be in the majority of people who hate the lab.

I run the lab because I have to.

I'm sure someone at GGG is reading a report that shows 80% of players run the lab and are like "See Bill, THEY LOVE IT."

I wish I could see the numbers on the following stats:

1) Number of players that ran each labyrinth ONLY once. (i.e. players that run the lab because they have to)
2) Average level gap between the player and the labyrinth level (i.e. how over leveled is the avg player)
3) Number of players that have ascendancy points but never hit izaro with an attack (i.e. how many players paid to get carried).

Quit after Legion, rejoined PoE to see what the game's like now in 3.12.
I also can't stand the whole lab experience. I simply do the minimum needed to get the points.

Yes, I'd also like to see some stats like that. But I have the sense that the labyrinth is GGG's baby and they're not going to release anything that might reflect negatively on it. Of course, I could be wrong and the stats indicate that all but a "vocal minority" love the lab just the way it is. (Not that GGG has an emotion detector which tells if people are blissful or gritting their teeth while they're in the lab. At least, I hope they don't.)

have not logged into forum for a couple of years... but the Lab has made me log in just to say add me to the list of haters (remove traps completely and it would be ok as a boss run to get the points). Dying to long paths of traps that you can not see but a tiny part of path due to resolution of game just sucks.

To the lab haters...like me.

Sadly, this is probably true. The fact that the negative posts on reddit about the labyrinth are buried a month or two back may well lead GGG to conclude that people (or, at least, the "people who count") have adjusted and everything is A-OK with forcing them to go through the lab.

i am nearly at the point to stop playing the game.

skilltree is gated behind the lab.

thats all.

they simply "overproducing".

maybe there are too many deals in the back.

fact is that i wanna skill my chars with 6 points.

and its a really "nice" move to present another lab...omg.

i dont hate the lab...i simply dont like to play this kind of stuff.

ideas today dont have to make sense...they only have to be NEW.

thats the inet scene today

josef weizenbaum about the internet:

the internet is like the big trash places in bombay...it is amazing big and there are people

who search for things they can sell and some build their whole existence on that.

what a poor life.

and what is more stupid than a football playing robot?

football playing humans.....

Why 2017? Vote Traps 2016.

Offtopic from my favourite show

Fry: So let me get this straight. This planet is completely uninhabited?
Bender: No, it's inhabited by robots.
Fry: Oh, kinda like how a warehouse is inhabited by boxes.
