[2.6] The Curse Whisperer - Tri-Curse CI Whispering Ice Elementalist - Viable for Everything

Okay I started this build and hit lvl 40. I've been using arctic armor, discipline and clarity to this point. I'm now switching to the blasphemy + warlord's mark however I can't keep all four auras up at the same time. You've also mentioned talk about three aura's on enemy targets? Can you fully explain this to me please - I am kind of new to this game, it's only my second league and your build looked amazing so I wanted to give it a go.

To clarify - I'm curious as to how I keep these self aura's and the enemy aura's you're talking about up all at the same time.

Naturally you can only apply one curse.
He uses Doedre's Damming Ring for an extra curse and Whispers of Doom passive skill.
Now he can apply 3 different curses. He links one curse to Blasphemy to have it as an aura and for the other 2 he creates a 5 link setup:

Cast When Damage Taken, Ball Lighting, Curse on Hit, Enfeeble, Temporal Chains.

CWDT will cast Ball Lighting when the damage threshold is met. Ball Lightning is linked with Curse on Hit which allows it to apply curses when it deals Damage and Curse on Hit is linked with the 2 other curses.

You use clarity up until level 40, then you use Warlord's Mark, Discipline and Arctic Armor, thought I didnt use Arctic Armor up until level 65 as I had mana issues.

Thanks for the quick reply and the clarification! I assume this 5 link is done through the armor. Last question so I would use pyre and doedre's ring?

Doedre's and Perandus signet
No, cuz Pyre is nerfed, no longer converts 100% of Cold Damage to Fire, If you have the money the other ring is Perandus Signet to increases your Int, if not just any Ring that gives Int, Maximum Energy Shield and/maybe Elemental Resists for now

(Okay it seems more questions keep coming up)

I will now be looking for that ring or one that you said, however is there a new way to fully convert? Again thanks.

At level 38 you should drop clarity and pick up cast while channeling and scorching ray to enjoy ice storms with about 10 mana cost.
Can someone pls tell me should we link orb of storms to something or we self cast it?
My IGN is TheFatality.
Guide updated with all the recent changes:

- added The Wise Oak
- replaced Fortify with Vigilant Strike
- added the 2.6 video
- switched the Leveling Guide to use Firestorm for lv 12-39
- added Doedre's Scorn as a leveling item

The new flask is awesome, very common and cheap.

Keep your fire resistance the highest (joint-highest works too) and it's 20% extra fire penetration in a flask. Do not be confused by the wording on it: UNCAPPED does not mean that your resists should be under the cap! It means the number in parentheses, WITHOUT the cap.

Vigilant Strike gives you a 12 sec Fortify (with max quality) which is great for boss fights, essence rares, etc. It used to require very precise targeting that didn't work well with this build. But one of the recent patches greatly improved single target skills, and now VS is your Fortify button. You don't need the Fortify gem anymore. Leap Slam is still the best movement skill we have (we can't use Whirling Blades; Lightning Warp is too slow because we use extended duration nodes; Flame Dash is short range and would require Faster Casting support). Faster Attacks is great for both VS and Leap, so that RGR 3L stays unchanged. Simply replace Fortify with VS, and bind VS to a key.

The choice of leveling skill before Icestorm wasn't really important before 2.5, and Freezing Pulse was available at lv 1, so it was used to get to A3 and switch to WI at lv 33. But now that it's more convenient to switch at lv 39, and you spend some time in A4 before the big switch, Firestorm is a better choice. And the similarity to Icestorm helps you get used to the playstyle.

Doedre's Scorn used to be more expensive. Now it's really cheap. And it's a lv 39 item - a perfect fit to use together with Icetomb. It will serve you longer than the other leveling items. Replace it with a 13-15% Black Sun Crest when you achieve 1200-1300 Int, somewhere around lv 80-85.
