I don't really care if he is right or wrong. They release content. Everytime it's a bet sometimes they win sometimes not really but lab is here it's their game and we have to deal with it. I'm fine with original content like labyrinth at least THEY TRY something different.

No one is forced to play it h24 7/7 you need a total of 35 minutes to do it per difficulty including trials ( tested before commenting and it could go faster ).
Doesn't deserve so much hate and weekly forum threads in my opinion.
Now if you really can't deal with it you can still run trought the whole game without a single ascendancy point.

Edit: Edited to make this post appear more polite.

People can question the legitimacy of a strawpoll all they want, but the core issue is Chris's response about the "vocal minority"

Now, GGG are generally pretty upfront with us. However, in situations where they don't want us to know the truth, or don't like our stance, they absolutely have gone out of their way to mislead and/or omit information.

There is no way in hell that the amount of players who dislike the labyrinth is a very small minority. Not a chance.

Technically, and GGG loves technicalities, even if 49% of the playerbase hated it they could say "HAH! See? We said it was a minority!" But is content really successful if near half of the playerbase hates it?

I guarantee no less than 35% of the playerbase strongly dislikes it. Going by anecdotal evidence I'd say 85% of the playerbase dislikes or hates it. I only know one person who actually enjoys it.

Another thing - for everyone tearing apart the polling in this thread, what metric did GGG use to decide it is a small minority in the first place? Are they assuming anyone who runs the lab more than 5 times enjoys it? They certainly didn't poll people and they know the results would not be to their liking.

Basically, I think Chris is trying to downplay how many people dislike it because this was their most recent endeavor and they want to act like everything they do is successful.

It's so damn cute when people guarantee things like this. What are you basing this upon? Forum activity? In game chat? Your number of pubic hairs?

I mean, everything isn't as black and white as you describe it. Some hate it, some love it, some think it's an OK way to gate ascendancy points behind, some hate the ascendancy points.

And then you have to take into account WHEN Chris said this. Have the numbers change in regards to forum activity, reddit activity, lab runs? Of course.
Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.
Lab hater here.
Different game maps and builds are adjusted to different playstyles. Lab is very unfriendly to some of those, ie:
1. poor connection,
2. imprecise controls,
3. low-life/ es.
I you or your char have at least one of the above and you are not hc fan, you will most likely hate lab. You will just run it once/ char/ difficulty and feel true happiness when you leave this crap behind. In this sense - game changing experience. Not a positive one, though.

So what % of people do you think hate or dislike the lab? Just curious. And I realize I don't have definitive proof for my 35% number, but I doubt anyone is going to bet money that I'm way off. 35% is pretty conservative, all things considered. When 90% of the people on the forum seem to hate it, and 90% of the people everyone knows in-game seems to hate it, what else is one to conclude other than - Lots of people hate it?

Hell if I'd even try guessing that, the number sounds plausible enough but we have absolutely no way of knowing how off is it. We should probably refrain from trying to guess it entirely, and especially from guaranteeing what is essentially a stab in the dusk.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

I can't run them time after time, but I do enjoy them the first couple of times get ascendancy points, after that I dont really wanna run them. But I do feel accomplished

If the playerbase is divided 50%/50%, you can say 50% of the playerbase dislike labyrinth. Just saying...
