TriniGamer, what are you on dude?

The players didn't tell GGG to not install an auction house, it was THEM who from the very beginning said they'd never have one. period.

Now, kindly run along and quit stinking up the thread. plz? :)

First of all Chris said no RMAH because at that particular time the popular thing to do was ride the bandwagon D3 hating train.

Chris saying no AH in POE was like Korean browser spam games advertising "Try this new RPG complete with PVP" the PVP was in reference to D3 not having PVP, it was all just a bandwagon rolling through town and for anyone who don't have add block extension on firefox knows about the browser spam games advertising PVP games at the time as if PVP was something so new and amazing. All those browser games died on its ass though.

Offcourse Chris does not mean what he said, he said what he had to say for marketing purposes to make the latrine trolls feel all fuzzy and warm inside. Right now he knows what he said was plain stupid and did it to gain the support for POE but now stuck in limbo because no matter what he does, POE trading stinks more than dog feces.

But how does he implement AH and not anger the latrine trolls is what he is trying to decide.

He had better decide fast, Blizzard is hiring a new team for Diablo 4 as they have realized the core mechanics of D3 cannot be fixed and they need to start back from scratch. The Engine in POE is already horrible as we speak and is totally stomped by the D3 Engine. If Blizzard manages to return D4 build mechanics to its more hardcore roots, while keeping a modern multi player system like D3 and having a multi threaded Engine. The kind of money they have considering the fact that Activision-Blizzard is a holding company, GGG could very well end up bankrupt.

GGG needs to understand they only exist because Blizzard dropped the ball on D3. And since Blizzard can actually innovate and take huge risks without financial problems its in Chris's best interest to actually implement a better online experience, a real trading system and a tutorial.

And most of all the idea that new players aren't wanted because of Chris thinks he is going to get loyalty from the so called nerds here he has something else coming. The minute there is a better product on the market everyone is going to abandon you. And the same newbies that you keep shitting on are the ones you will be wishing you tried to recruit.

For those that thought an Advice channel might be a good idea, or for those that think its a horrible idea, talk about it over here in it's own thread.

In my opinion, I think an in-game tutorial would be a nice change for POE. I happen to be one of the players who loved spending hours researching and reading game mechanics but I realise not everybody is like that. Some people might not have the time or inclination to study game guides and I see no harm in making the game easier to grasp for those individuals. Just because I got into the game the hard way doesn't mean everyone should.
