Seriously, for me it's a bloody gamble. Game hasn't been running smoothly since 2.2. (or 2.0 didn't play talisman much). It's impossible to go through traps having lag/fps spikes without relying on luck.

GGG screwed me over. This game played perfectly, now it doesn't and traps are 100% unforgiving killing you in a bloody instant if you spike while going through them no matter how much ehp you have. Great, thanks GGG.

Maybe you should practice in standard? I have survived some tricky trap gauntlets, I think they are mostly manageable (as a life build).

It's actually easy as well with hybrid life/es, and i suspect that physical damage reduction is taken in account as well with traps. Can talk about CI actually since i never tried.

By the way like any other new content you basically need to practice a few times and it's good to just join the bunch of SC casuals to run lab a few times to get uzed to patterns and gameplay. It actually is easier to get than Malachai i think.

Should I have my HC friends state it for me? Would that be better.

ib4, you need skillz to beat the Lab... oh... :/

OP, all you need is 4x seething/bubbling life pots, 1x QS and a movement skill (leap slam is prob. the best)

I don't like the lab either, but the traps can be all bruteforced with movement & flask spam. Ofc it gets f*** annoying to do all that shit 3x (+trials) if you like to reroll a lot.

Do a test run on softcore, before you do the HC run, so you can note down the more optimal route toward trials/finish.

But I kinda agree. The Lab brings nothing to the table for me (boring enchantments grind via speed-runs? no, thanks...). Asc classes & perandus boxes is all the value of this expansion.
When night falls
She cloaks the world
In impenetrable darkness
The whole experience is exhausting, maybe moreso fo hc players:

1. Mentally Draining (trials + lab + traps + three phases of Izaro + client performance)

2. Risk to Reward: 300+ enchants on helm...

3. Incoming nerfs.
GGG listens to its fans!!! Thank you!

This is some of the best information available for just getting through the labyrinth

I love the lab, easily one of the best additions GGG has made to the game.

If you are dying to traps, the biggest issue is probably in front of the keyboard. You can make tankier builds, you can spam life flasks, but really the biggest thing that will help is just learning not to panic. None of the traps can one shot you, it's not possible. If you just stand in one place and don't move, the spinning traps will pass through you and do a pretty good chunk of life but you will live, the spike floor traps do about half life and you will live, the darts do like 20% life and you will love, and the flame floor is so easy to avoid I literally can't have any sympathy for anyone who dies to it.

If you are lagging, outside of your game completely locking up and freezing, it still shouldn't be an issue. I experience the already-legendary FPS drop down to single digits from the fire floors, and struggle to slideshow my way through them. Still never died to one, it's pretty hard, you kind of have to actually try to die to traps in the labyrinth. The only way you can really die to traps is to get hit by one, panic, and jump into another one, or do something incredibly dumb like running inside a trap in the same direction it is moving so that you continue to take damage for several seconds.

Honestly, if the traps were made any easier they would be a total joke. Most of us on the speed clearing end already consider them a complete joke. I barely even look at traps on my chieftan, I can out-regen most of them and would definitely have to actually try to die to ever come close. Even when I run through the lab while leveling, it's not something I ever really pay attention to, just slam quicksilver and fly through with zero cares in the world. The only combination that ever really gives pause is the very occasional spinning trap + dart maze, and only because it's the one combination of trap that can actually kill you from full health instantly if you jump inside some spinning blades and get hit by a cross section of darts at the same time. The solution to this is to not run where darts intersect, of course, which takes all of a half of a second to spot and avoid.

tl;dr
Don't panic, you can literally just walk through all of the traps in this game and not care. I'm pretty sure a blind player could beat the labyrinth, no hate. I hope GGG never nerfs them because they are already probably too easy.

Typical insecure softcore player getting defensive. Relax, I never said "scrubcore is for casuls" or anything like that. It's just a different kind of playing style and no matter how you see it, when in hc you approach the Lab differently.
