Kripp hates on the game all the time. Who cares about him anyway?

If you dont like somethint you vote with your wallet. Likewise, if you like something reward with your wallet.

Simple concept.

Easy for you to say, having sunk a grand+ into the game, to feel smug and satisfied over.

But for a company like GGG, whose entire business model relies on getting FUTURE payments from players in the FUTURE (and has already spent your $1,000) that's a very, very poor concept to rely upon. Downright stupidly suicidal, in fact.

Way more than 1K. But I will not contribute another cent if I cant play the game. I do love this game and GGG :)
GGG listens to its fans!!! Thank you!

Ye this is actually more important then most realize. It's not financial blackmail or any of the sort either. People simply will not pay another cent unless they feel like the game deserves it.

Likewise for me i have not contributed for a while. Because i don't like the way the game is going. Will i ever support again? Probably!. Did i regret the amount i have supported so far? Not even once.

Critique is what thrives GGG to make this game better for all of us.

... But no. The stupied traps dont really care that I've overleveled. They just gleefully kill me all the same.

... Now I play this game to make fun builds, test them against the mobs and maps of the game.

... To experience the new content, I need to willfully subject myself to boredom by not fighting mobs. No. By waiting for some traps to go up/down/back/forth until I can pass them.
Then because of the randomness of the day, having no other way I pass several traps, until a mix of traps make me die no matter what I do...

I can relate to this.

I hate labyrinths. I hated Hedge Maze ever since I saw it. I hate waiting for traps to open the way so I can pass. I just want to kill stuff. I don't like waiting in an ARPG, I have no patience for this.

LOL

I just REALLY don't understand this mindset.

That's why I put the "+" there, since all I could rule out was that it wasn't LESS than 1k.

Part of my (very legitimate) worry is that GGG will forget the whole point of their monetization model, and slip towards the assumptions that drive almost every other F2P business model, of "we'll still secure the whales and fool 'em."

GGG intentionally started with a NON-pay-to-win model, that better mimicked a "perpetual kickstarter" of sorts; they provide the game for no upfront charge, and through supporter packs, let people pay what it's worth to them.

All these threads and comments are simply a warning that the game's worth to people has gone DOWN with Ascension. Hopefully GGG recognizes what the meaning of that is, because I know there's an all-too-strong temptation for a developer to say "screw them, we'll just monetize the more loyal fans more!" and that mentality is what paves the road to pay-2-win Freemium.

They already may have started going down that road with the Pay2Trade stash tabs.

I will admit; I can't fully argue against that; it HAS contributed to my concern here.

And full confession: ALL of my stash tabs (34 permanent tabs, at last count) are premium, and I have gotten a bit lazy with getting the updated Procurement, and just kept with using their built-in feature for the time being.

That doesn't mean I'm pleased with it, though.
