Traps in D3 are only a bit different scenery (and are present on few tilesets from many), in most rifts you do not even find them. In PoE it is an important part when building a character.
Do you not see a difference between one "trap-like" item met once in blue moon and whole platform subgame?
I give you a hint here. In D3 you do not even break the flow of the game. If you meet them at all, of course. You may play a million rifts and you won't see any "trap".

That bolded part is just untrue, also even in the lab you rarely encounter traps, it's not even a whole subgame. If you want to just do all 4 labs and never go back you're in for about a whole 5 minutes of traps per character, and that's being generous, and not counting the reduced labs in 3.0.

You're right because the sensible player hits the lab says "fuck no" 5 minutes later and plays a less stupid game.

I would address more but I deem this trolling.

BTW you are defending content that you don't even find 'fun"... Split personality or hypocrisy?

His decisions about developing and balancing around AP have already happened. He may be right or not. But his decisions how the game is supposed balanced are already implemented (at least concerning AP).

your right group loot is STILL FFA. They never come to the realization they made a huge mistake.

And?

In poe the traps are limited to certain scenarios as well, including in some maps. How you overcome a challenge says a lot about you and your characters and the QQ post complaining about them says you are not receptive to overcoming a challenge.

And yet you do not support my suggestion to replace the lab with a much harder challenge chess against IBM's WATSON.

Well, unless we consider deliberate lying (in that case we may consider all devs statements useless), we do know where he stands when AP is concerned.

We only know where he said he stands, nothing more, so we can't use it as absolute truth whenever it suits us. For instance, I'd take what the game balance currently looks like as a much more reliable sign of their intentions than what they said on the issue at any point. Either that or the game lives its own separate life and they have very little actual control over it.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

It gets old seeing loot alloc being compared with laby, it's fucking ridiculous. They are two completely different issues with completely different complaints behind them. IMO they aren't comparable in any sense.

One deals with people taking your loot, in a loot based game. You know, to the point where playing in parties would gimp you because you never get anything decent.

The other deals with people complaining that they don't want to play content that they find boring or not fitting the genre. Even though it doesn't take long at all to run it and it's worth running and it totally fits the genre regardless of how the laby haters want to paint it.
Hint
By the very definition of "platform games" it is not a platformer. You'll also find in the generally accepted definition of "arpg" that traps are part of the genre. And no, making a trap gauntlet doesn't change the genre either. It would still fit the definition as having "aspects of action and/or action-adventure games" since it's such a minor portion of a characters progression compared to the rest of the game.

See the difference? One completely stops your progression while the other is optional and doesn't hinder progress (optional in the sense of when you do it). GGG rightfully caved in to the loot alloc demands and if the laby was that big of an issue I'm sure it would have gotten the same attention. But it didn't.

They did however listen to feedback and worked to streamline the laby experience.

As far as I'm concerned the only mistake GGG made was allowing these threads to continue and not killing them like they did the globe girls threads.
Just a lowly standard player. May RNGesus be with you.

Odd how the antagonists of this thread seem to all follow the same playbook.

1. Avoid presenting any valid suggestions for improvements to the labyrinth.
2. When in doubt use plenty Ad hominem rebuttals.
3. Project whenever possible.

No wonder they're not taken seriously. Quite sad really.
