And not calling the ES tweaks a "bug fix" ......
sigh

Bugs are irrelevant here, what you guys are whining about is the design, bugs are something nobody likes, what makes a big part of this thread toxic is not people talking about bugs, at all.

Design bugs are a huge problem with the horrible labyrinth. There were a very large amount of implementation bugs but all of the things I mentioned were examples of design bugs.

e.g., 60% damage for ES, normal and cruel labs cut in half, trials scaled back to a fraction of the original horrible overwhelming mess.
ALL DESIGN BUGS that have been admitted to by GGG and fixed.

Hate to be nitpicking this, but 'design' and 'bug' are mutually exclusive, design is an intentional process and a bug is an unintentional occurrence. It's probably better to call it 'a design mistake', they made a decision and it didn't work out.

Destructible traps and non-hp/es percentage based traps were implemented in the uber lab.

Don't remind me, dunno how many times I lost my Guardian because I forgot to unsummon it in uber and the bleed sentinel offed him. Considering the Guardian's life pool, I assume the bleed trap is also percentage based but lacks the minion damage scaling penalty like some of the other traps initially did. Also, I don't think sentinels would have worked on their own, they seem more like extras to me than standalone elements.

Anyway, dunno why we're talking about this, you can't fault the content for bugs and oversights.

You don't know if uber traps had not been "conceived" with the first lab, only the implementation was not there yet.
They were already planning for uber lab, it's likely hat they had already started it back them.

So ... turn around ??
The AC points are still very tied to the alb despite this huge joke of a thread, that's definitely not what I would call a "turn around".

I am not surprised that you need explaining once again.
Call it tactical retreat, call it a mistake call it a booboo. It is what it is.

@Raics, the reason we discussing this is because GGG tried something new and failed. Horribly.

That's the point of this thread as far as i am concerned.

A baby (81mg) aspirin per day will help prevent strokes and heart attacks. Make sure that you get enteric coated pills. This will minimize the stomach involvement in the absorption of the aspirin. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enteric_coating This will avoid the major drawback of taking the daily aspirin.

Design bugs are real. I have a Bachelor's degree in computer science from UC Berkeley and over 40 years experience in software engineering. Design bugs are real and I gave examples of three labyrinth design bugs. I agree that design bugs are qualitatively different from implementation bugs, which is what I interpret your main point to be. You are, of course, free to call design bugs anything that you like but it doesn't change the fact that design bugs are real.

Yeah, I know what you wanted to say, the name just doesn't make much sense.

I wouldn't take sentinels for a confirmation of it, though, if you're supposed to do the uber lab at levels 80-85 your character is already done and you're just stacking dps at that point, there was no reason to make them percentage. Actually, no idea why the bleed trap is, assuming I'm right.

No you should take this thread as confirmation. The sentinel traps were something they did right. That's what i am trying to say.

People want to kill stuff and not have their choices ignored in an arpg.
