I would be very amazed if the lab runners didn't use brightbeaks with leapslam + faster attacks on them. At least on a weapon swap.

I prefer Blink Arrow on a swap tbh. Leap slam can get you killed.

You too Fruz, give it a rest. You guys have been at each others throats for several pages now. Isn't it enough? The thread really doesn't need more of this.

I made my point, I don't need to add anything else actually.

If somebody tries to throw fallacies regarding it, I'll just show how silly it is.

It seems that phaserun + movespeed is the most used combination used from the best lab runners.

But you know, I'm "ignoring the facts" lol, people having no actual clue about it know better of course.

You're making it hard to not quoting you, with arrogant shit like this.

First off, things aren't "facts" just because YOU say it's the "most used combination". If you were to give us a link to where you found this information, that would be a different story. I'm not doubting it, I just feel you're very arrogant with your "lols" and "rofls" after YOU present YOUR "facts" without a SHRED of basis.

Stop making fun of people that don't see YOUR claims as facts. And let's not have a semantics discussion about "facts", because we both know that YOU presenting something without a shred of basis will never be facts. You even used the word SEEMS and FACT in the same post... Without supporting your "seemed facts" with anything. Please...

Anyhow, based on my experience from reading about it, phaserun and movement speed are often used by maze runners, build for the lab. They can easily TAKE the damage from the traps while running. When you do the lab on-level, with characters NOT designed to eat every trap, avoidance becomes more important, and Leap SLam/Mirror arrow IS often used. And no, I'm not using the phrase "most used", because I don't know as much as you, apparently.

And what is the point of the traps again, when you can design characters to just run through them? Because that is what people do.
Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.

Wasn't the post about Turtledove saying it was a fact?
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

Looks like I may have misinterpreted a bit, yes.

I don't read most of mr. T's post, as I feel he's a little bit over the top at times, and not really helping the "case". But no matter, I will ask Fruz for his forgiveness if he takes my post to heart.

The second part of the post still stands, tho :)

Well, I don't like people throwing stones at the content and insulting the dev, while doing it partly in ignorance.
That's why I used "fact" there, in response to Turtle using "facts" very often, and often for what isn't.
The use of leap slam isn't "almost universally suggested in the labyrinth".
To be honest, I find shield charge overall much faster than leap slam ( it might depends on the characters though ), even in the lab.
I'm not such a huge fan of whirling blades, but it might be used too, still not as good as really optimized setups.

Of course using movement skills such as leap slam can be convenient, there are some patterns where lightning warp can help quite a bit too, but it's not the most efficient there, it just helps.
That said if you show me a top ladder run (not one that is meh but without competitors please lol) using lightning warp and leap slam, then that would prove me wrong I guess.

But anyway, I wasn't trying to prove that using movement skip that go over obstacles in the lab was a bad thing or anything.

I also agree with you in the fact that having phaserun + very high movement speed kinda trivializes many gauntlets, and I would prefer that it didn't.
I think that it's a bit of a pity.

But I should probably do like you, ignore Mr T.
I mean it looks like he only reads half of my words anyway, so I should probably not bother.

Mr.T only needs one letter.

Jokes aside though, that would probably be for the best indeed.
