" Lab is piss-easy, only requires most basic "navigational skills", but at the same time it eats away your nerves & mental health? And according to your colleagues a few pages back, it's also too long or "very long". So, either Lab is "piss-easy-TV-watching-while-pwning" or it's so difficult that it requires a 350+ pages master whine thread. Which is it? (oh, and Lab is not mandatory. MANDATORY. Also, this game is over for normal people after 80, 90 or 100 at which point it enters the redundancy state. |

(and the same goes for GGG, if anyone of them is reading this) If before Ascendancy, PoE was your favourite game, then I have good news: you can completely ignore Ascendancy, because it goes in parallel with the rest of the content, and play the game as you've played it before. As an added bonus you'll get slightly harder content, which is welcome, since PoE is too easy anyway (until you get into red maps, at least) When night falls

In many cases, they're not only just a boost. Some offer unique opportunities unavailable elsewhere in PoE.
This makes ascendancies mandatory for traditional rpg/arpg players. |

" I did ignore the ascendancy points for a release or so and played PoE pretty much as I did before. After GGG made some adjustments to the "power creep" problem then I suffered through the labyrinth for a season. I also took a few breaks from PoE over this period of time to play other games for the first time since loading PoE 3.5 years ago. I now just play Grim Dawn except when my wife wants to play PoE, since she doesn't like playing solo. I really don't care if you believe me or not. At least for me, GGG turned PoE into a boring and tedious game with labyrinth (translate to utter SHIT since it is now so bad I no longer play it, except for the stated exception). I hasten to add that after giving GGG almost $400 they haven't seen a penny from me since labyrinth was released.
