SET FREE THE ASCENDANCY POINTS (or rework the lab) [New ascension methods/lab rework ideas]
According to Steam Charts, most people like ascendency points with the lab, or simply they don't care.
That means developers will keep this maybe for long time. Also most people don't care about a balanced game, with a decent trade and economy. Also they don't care about pay2winners, the new generation don't care about anything. I tried to change something in better, but will never happen maybe. So... IGN: SeaLaser

Lol people want "the fun game" that PoE "was before lab" but instead of making a thread about this they could just avoid the lab. You don't want lab? Don't do it. You want those ascendancy points? Well, "the fun game" that was PoE before didn't have them, so why do you care about them?

" Please, after you have done all your "lulz", do me a favour and start thinking. There are different reasons because people are upset about ggg do forcing them to do the lab. One of them is, that from their point of view (which I share), the retarded "jump around the trap streets" has nothing to do with their original expierence of poe (or their expierence on the spiritual predecessor diablo2). And: "No", you cant just start playing without the lab "like before", because this few ascendancy points are by far the most powerful points you can earn in this game. They define your playstyle and ggg has "balanced" their late game around them. (As far as you can describe their playmechanics as "balanced".) So skipping asccendancy points means for most of the builds = skipping late game and therefor skipping the chance of getting valuable equip and currency. (Or it means at least dying a *lot* more often, which basicly means again = "skipping endgame", because of the exp penalty.) But for me personaly, there is another point, which makes me frustrated (and let me for instance avoid to write a review / recommandantion on steam). The point of ignorance and arrogance which underlie in this design and that ggg dont react in the slightest way to this remarkable number of complaints. (Beside of calling them just a (neglible) "minority". Btw: Thanks for *your* feedback for that ggg). Since I prefer to play melee and playing since open beta, I have in this particular point "of not listen to the community" (for years) a really bad "deja vu". But contrary to the "melee problems" there is no deeper need to connect the "ascendancy points" to the lab - or at least not to offer an alternative way to get them. (Okay, beside of aggrieved vanity of the lab designer...) At least, dont get me wrong, I have done the lab with different characters. But the reason number one *not* to play poe is for me the lab. And I say this as a dedicated melee player, who has expierenced stuff like "this is a buff" and "life is technicaly superior to es"... Thanx for reading. " Nice post. The only reason for me not to play PoE is the Labyrinth and I no longer play PoE, except when my wife wants to play. Right now I'm playing Grim Dawn with the idea that I'll soon be completely free of the horrible labyrinth game play once I know it well enough to set up characters for my wife. Over 430 threads discussing labyrinth problems with over 1040 posters in support (thread # 1702621) Thank you all! GGG will implement a different method for ascension in PoE2. Retired!

351 pages, nothing changed, now getting 2x more screens filled with traps in the lab.
Lab is terrible, essence/atlas doesnt drop maps (essences were great though), breach is terrible. Gonna be asking for a vanilla server soon. |

" I was running a buddy through normal lab, he died to saw blades on spikes. I had to use like 5 quicksilver charges to get across the area. Also tried in cruel on this char (may try again, losing interest). Same thing, before there would be like 3 tunnels to door, now its like 6. I didn't notice anything in normal, I just reached a3 cruel so I'll see soon I guess. I don't think that there was really any need to extend the patterns. Some are definitely much longer than others, but that isn't new. SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.
