Do you think that the Choice between Hardcore and Standard ( die once or die as often as you want) is the same as not getting Ascendany Points at all ?

This is really a pure distraction, IMHO.

Here's the situation, from my point of view.

This thread is to provide some feedback and suggestions for the consumption of GGG. We believe it would be a significant improvement to the game if GGG made the ascendancy points available outside the labyrinth (or reworked the lab).

To the people trying to tell us that our feedback and suggestions don't count, they are wrong and simply off topic. The kind of arguments I'm talking about for example are:
1. Labyrinth is optional
2. It only takes 5-15 minutes to run labyrinth, so you have no right to complain
3. GGG will never change labyrinth
4. You're just being a worthless whiner
5. I don't like Act 4, masters, or some other irrelevant thing
6. You all are just shitposting all over the forums

These are all really off topic comments. What is on topic for this thread is that we have feedback and suggestions to GGG regarding SET FREE THE ASCENDANCY POINTS (or rework the lab) If people say something that falls into the type items above then my plan is to politely let them know that while I might sympathize with their opinion, it is really off topic for this thread.

#3 is not off topic. It is simply a fact based on Chris Wilson's own words. He could change his mind a few years later like they did with fixing desync, but as far as the next year is concerned no changes to how you get AC points or Lab are planned.

Chris said specifically lab haters are a minority. That is his words specifically. I proved it long before he even said it, but the data is already available whether or not GGG wants to provide all of it or not.

So when I say lab is never changing it is because evidence shows that to be true only backed up by Chris Wilson's own words. I understand some people want a different way to get AC points or they want lab to change in some way. But I already made it clear why nearly all methods presented in OP will not work (dont feel like mincing the same words).

Could lab use less traps sure. But when you Yolo, you hardly ever get hit by traps to begin with. Does that mean since I can yolo through lab traps are fine. No but it does mean any 1 else can repeat my methods and be successful.

Is lab boring. Sure. But i already said entire games are built upon boring concepts. The game can be rewarding and fun even with repetitive or boring content in it. I think maps are equally as boring as lab is so by that statement maps also need improvements. Yet you hardly see people complaining that maps are boring, only they are not rewarding enough, especially red maps.

Whether you are leveling, mapping, doing lab, or prophecies, it is all boring content because it is all the same. Grom level 1 to 100 you are doing nothing but killing things. So nothing ever changes to make it more fun. What makes it enjoyabke is your builds progression through the game as well as the rewards you get whike playing. As such lab is the best end game content currently.

And to that the fast response is, of all the people that do the lab, that do the lab just for the points, that in fact hate doing the lab, but they just gave up, they are a fucking silent majority in comparison with the people that actually love the lab.

Even tho hardcore players are going to the softcore league and a lot of the better players and / or streamers have jumped the boat.

The whole idea of Chris explaining how they want to give softcore players a sense of hardcore play is so retarded and so idiotic from a design point of view since then hardcore players get a mega hardcore experience only to give the softcore players an experience they did not asked for.


But hey, every time the dude talks you wish he just shut the fuck up and hire some competent people to deliver a game up to today's standards.


To put it in perspective, POE fails in a lot of aspects that makes the experience more tedious than it should, when games in the '90 had already solved those same issues with success.

Sorry you are off topic plus incorrect. Chris never said that lab is never changing. However, even if he did, we are here in the Feedback and Suggestions forum giving our feedback and suggestions to GGG. That is the purpose of this forum and that is what we are using it for. Your assertions about GGG decisions in the past are not relevant to those simple facts.

You are going to need a lot of support to make GGG change their mind. At least 30k supporters. I hope you can achieve that otherwise it will be quite sad when you realise how much time you are wasting on the topic. I am a man of reality. Evidence is the only thing that can change my opinion on anything. The evidence shows no change to lab will happen. The lack of a response to lab other than by chris himself, the lack of a development manifesro, the data that shows player retention is higher, the fact that this entire thread is anecdotal evidence of lab dislike, and so on.

Get 30k supporters or give up because that is how many supporters you need to promote change on this topic. Otherwise the minority has no say on how the game should be. It will always be the majority that dictates change. If the majority dislikes lab then lab will be changed. That is a fact, and the only condition that is required to be met for change to occur.

Otherwise this is just wasted breath on a helpless topic that will not bring about any results.

More off topic posting. We are here to discuss suggestions and feedback not the GGG process for deciding what consideration to give to the different suggestions and feedback given in this forum. Although I will thank you for your interest in PoE and your interest in this thread.
