SET FREE THE ASCENDANCY POINTS (or rework the lab) [New ascension methods/lab rework ideas]
" I have to say, it does a lot sound like frustration there ... but not from everybody. Some might QQ about the RNG nature of the trials, there will always be some because ... RNG. Who cares about people QQing about rng in PoE though lol ... SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

To all the labyrinth haters...
The Lord's Labyrinth awaits you.
Choose wisely, strike quickly. Thrust completely. And may you find the ending that you deserve. |

" I'm no die-hard every-day poster on this topic like you (thank you, by the way. I think this topic deserves to stay on the front page of suggestions and feedback), but from my lurking perspective, there isn't much difference in the recent post quality between some of both minority groups of lab haters and lab lovers. One side has one opinion, the other theirs. Recently, both sides have been repeating their feelings on the matter, unable to change the other's opinion. The bickering back and forth does nothing to advance the feedback to GGG. This works in the favor of those who are against change because it dilutes the message, getting lost in personal arguments. No player can speak for GGG, no matter how many supporter tags, or how long they've played the game. People will continue posting how they feel no matter how many times people tell them to shut up. Continued bumping of this thread, even to say shut up, keeps the thread active, which works in favor of those petitioning for change. Giving one's 2 cents of opinion daily in this thread to keep it an active conversation is beneficial to keep the topic on GGG's radar, until they officially respond. As a reminder, to those hoping for change, the posts shouldn't be "bumps", but perhaps a new point of view or how changes going on around the Labyrinth are impacting players and their enjoyment of the game. New contributors to the topic are always welcome as well. (Happily, I have noticed more varied posters by those wanting change, than those trying to bury the topic - both sides have a core group of 3-5 people) (and the trump-campaign-imitator who posts on the side of labyrinth change seems more like a sarcastic poster attempting to parody the issue, not helping at all with their brand of "support") So, in the end, I support those who continue to contribute to this thread and others like it (on variations of the topic that are worth discussing separately) where they bring new points to discuss, new feedback for GGG, or to clarify those points that have been made, but are seemingly not understood by others. |

" I don't mind if they share their opinion, I actually like debating the thing. What I dislike is when I log in and check for interesting topic, and the whole first page is only Lab threads all saying the very same things, this is where I've lost respect in their opinions. They are mostly spamming and baiting argument then awhhh the whole toxicity in this topic is going overboard. I would like to see, only one topic with all the opinions discussed properly, than an overflow of spam. My 2 cent. if people who dislike the lab would agree to dicuss the lab in a single thread I would be happy to listen to them and read their comments. I think more people would respect their opinions if it wasn't as spammy as it is right now. Last edited by diablofdb#3816 on Aug 31, 2016, 4:37:27 PM

" you seriously think that they havent seen this giant thread? and havent heard (from numerous support complaints) that this discussion is 'hot'? you think that they are still about to read it and consider it? ofc they have seen it. read it. and ignored it. this is the part you and some of the 'lab haters' cannot understand and cannot make their mind over - GGG already have heard these arguments (most probably smiled reading shit eating stories that were so popular in this thread), made up their mind and IGNORED THIS ISSUE! few guys were mature enough and left after expressing their disagreement (fair enough, big changes will always hurt someone), few others changed their mind (both ways), but few formed a new religion and are 'fighting' completely detached from reality, facts and surroundings. you count on a response? read patch notes. not current ones - 2.3. that was your first official response. and GGG repeated the message today with 2.4 notes. if you cannot understand that message, let me help you: 'we do not see any issue worth talking about' you might think otherwise, but GGG is developing this game (with all their fair share of great and flop moments) and it is up to them how they are going to run it. your opinion and their opinion on the lab are not in line. deal with it. spaming forums and forming a support groups is widely known to be a reliable tactic used to influence business decisions. esp when using various fekal analogies and general verbal aggression. final note: " self-bumping. and that is frowned upon pretty much everywhere and is considered a bad manner. if you have to resort to this 'tactic' it means that the topic is dead anyway |

Well the thing is people like huge threads because they assume they get more attention, but they also hate them since posting in them might require reading the last few pages to not posting something that was mentioned a few posts before.
But the issue is, there isn't even consent what the problem is with the lab. If it is traps, others say that traps are so easy, they are just boring, which is true for untrapped ground as well. Others argue that the hardcore way of the labyrinth that you have to do get through it without dying is the issue, which funnily enough is a point that was even made by HC players (when there were still some left), which was counted by that this is not the issue, it is the traps, which ignore defenses, which brings up the first mentioned people that say traps are not that hard. So it isn't even that there are just Labdislikers, there are multiple versions of them, which might be a reason why there are sometimes a lot of different threads. |

" I think they have seen it and know more how to balance their game than anyone in the forum. Every big patch they do, people get mad and act they like they know everything about game design. But in the end.... every patch the game is better. |

" I have been since beta and know how they think and work. When they like something they do not change it lightly. In that sense they are the opposite of blizzard who play test things to the ground for 'popularity'. Its their game and they will do what they feel is right. I am posting my opinion with no deluded sense they will change it for a few seasons but honestly I find this discussion fun. I will play a char to uber lab again and then quit again even though guildies would push me thru because doing otherwise would be dishonest, unless I make a more lab friendly char which I will not do just to do a boring piece of content. I agree with those who say posting will not change their mind. You post your opinions though you can not worry about if they listen. I know they read and know most people do not want it but they still want to build the game they feel is best regardless of popularity. Last edited by Zalhan2#1986 on Aug 31, 2016, 6:26:42 PM

" In short, what do You think is the reason, there is a "feedback and suggestions" on PoE homepage? If this still is people's opinion, should everyone just be quiet anyways? Or make new thread (if the problem is number of posts, this helps) for this or what..? |
